Overview

Megabite is a fine example of what a boat can be when lines, form, function and finish all come together in a well thought out package. Designed by renowned marine architect Donald Blount and built by Dixon Boatworks out of Charleston, Megabite has it all. She offers a well constructed, cold molded hull, 3000 horse power, well laid out mezzanine, a first class and well appointed interior layout, top notch electronics, easy 30+kt cruise and 41kt WOT.

From the time the current owners took delivery of her, they have constantly upgraded and improved the systems, finish and fishability. The interior was fully made over by a professional decorator, all exterior brightwork has been converted to faux teak by IzzyTeak, all engine maintenance performed at necessary intervals and is currently is up to date, new cockpit and bridge decking, new cockpit refrigeration system, added and replaced electronics, airmar 275LCW Chirp transducer ...and the list goes on. All yard work, seasonal detailing and normal maintenance has been performed at Bayliss Boatworks since 2014.

It is also widely known that Megabite is one of the best sea boats for a 57 footer that has ever been built on the East Coast. She offers a very soft and dry ride at any angle and often runs away from the pack easily when a sea starts to stack up. When you think about what a lot of serious buyers are looking for in a sub 60 footer, Megabite brings it all to the table in spades. She will be a welcome offering to this sector of the market and if you're searching in that same category of looks, speed, fuel capacity, ride and comfort, then you don't want to let this one by.
