Seldom has a yacht been designed with almost as much living area on the outside as inside . Both the forward and aft decks are generously proportioned, and the aft deck can even become an extension of the salon when enclosed with curtains for protection from the elements.
On the DeFever 46 Pilothouse you will find molded-in non-skid decks for safety underfoot, along with stainless steel handrails mounted on stainless steel stanchions, FRP swim platform with boarding and swimming ladder, and quality stainless hardware such as chocks, cleats and portlights with screens. The hand-laid fiberglass hull, with gelcoat finish, has a full-length keel to protect the massive underwater running gear.
In all, the DeFever 46 is built to endure. It is another quality offshore cruiser in the DeFever line, where the name says it all.
Accommodations
Elegant and welcoming best describe the Owner stateroom forward. A raised island queen bed is fitted with teak cabinetry and vanity for plentiful storage. The guest stateroom to port is configured with a roomy settee that converts to a single upper and lower berths, with space available for a washer/dryer combination and ample storage. To starboard is the head with separate shower stall.
Panoramic views and excellent visibility are the hallmark of the pilothouse. The helm station and overhead console will accept your choice of electronics and equipment with drawers and chart storage incorporated. A raised settee and pilot berth are fitted on the aft bulkhead with steps leading to the boat deck or optional flybridge with second steering station.
Galley
The galley is well appointed and equipped with a refrigerator/freezer, three burner range, stainless sink and plenty of counter space and cabinet and drawer storage. Hand-rubbed teak cabinetry, paneling and cabin soles are featured throughout.
