If you have been looking for a yacht that can do everything from the Great Loop to the Carribean or just coastal cruising in extreme efficiency, comfort and stability, you have found her. “Magnolia”is an absolutely Bristol example of Endeavour Cat’s 44 TrawlerCat. Her single owners were very active in the build process and spared no expense in incorporating options that make her stand out from other cats and cruising yachts in general. She has absolutely everything one would need for extended island cruising, including helm deck AC, full electronics, SAT TV and weather, 8 kW genset, upgraded Yanmar 315’s, custom shelving in staterooms, custom interior layout, and the list goes on. Magnolia has cruised the Gulf of Mexico, Gulf Intercoastal, and Southern River systems. She is now on the Alabama coast and is 100% turn-key ready to head South.
If you’ve been keeping up with the various yachting magazines, you’ve noticed the uber-popularity of power cats these days. They have taken over the bareboat charter market, following the growth of the sailing cat market. Endeavour figured this out early on and hit a home-run with the 44!
Magnolia’s owners have moved on to other endeavors and are looking to place her in a new, caring home.
On the outside of Magnolia, you’ll see why this boat is the perfect island-hopper. Molded in steps on both transoms allow an easy boarding or egress for water sports. She has wide walks to port and starboard of the main salon “house” and ample space for kayaks or other water toys. Her bow is huge and there are sunpads that are custom fit for the top of the salon for sunbathing.
Once aboard Magnolia, you’ll find that this not a typical TrawlerCat. She has a plethora of upgrades and custom design and layout configurations that the owners implemented in the new build. Entering aft from either hull, one will see a station built into the aft deck. This holds a cooler, outdoor propane grill and a ton of storage. The dinghy davits tie in here and can be electrically lowered from this spot.
Walking into the helm deck area, you’ll note that this boat basically has two salons. The helm deck has a full enclosure, AC, an L-shaped couch to port and single bench to starboard. Two upgraded swiveling captain chairs face forward, with the full helm to port. There are 360 degree views of the water from this “room” and it’s one of the nest spots on the boat in any weather condition.
Entering into the salon through a centerline hatch on the vessel, you have an airy cabin with large windows port and starboard, ample seating area, an entertainment center aft, and a custom-built file cabinet to starboard. Looking to starboard, you have access to the starboard hull. In this hull, to aft is a double berth with custom shelving added, as well as a space for office equipment built-in. Forward is a guest head with shower. Beneath the hinged double berth is excellent access to the starboard Yanmar engine, pumps, filters and transmissions.
Forward of the salon is the master stateroom, also centerline. It sports a queen size island berth with storage galore to port and starboard. To starboard is the companionway down to the forward section of the starboard hull, where the master head is located. This is laid out wonderfully, and there’s a washer/dryer combo fore of the shower, so wet clothes never have to come into other areas. The opposite side of the salon is very customized. Here, the owners installed a changing room in the forward port hull, instead of a head that was accessed through the galley. It makes perfect sense.
From the main salon to port, you’ll find a companionway down to the mid and aft section of the port hull. This area is split into two, with a full galley running the length of the salon, and aft is an identical stateroom to the one in the starboard hull. It also sports excellent storage and a double berth, for a total of three berths and two full heads on the vessel!
