Overview

Choices is a reliable, safe and comfortable cruising boat, outfitted to swing on anchor or dock at marinas.  Her wide covered walkways provide easy and safe access to all parts of the hull for easy docking, mooring, or anchoring.  She's outfitted with the hefty cleats and hawse holes common to Grand Banks trawlers.  She can be operated from the upper helm or from inside the cabin with visibility & ease.  Her prop is protected by a keel plate which makes soft groundings a non-issue.  Her decks are original non-skid.  Choices had over $50K in upgrades & improvements in 2013 & 2014 and new bottom paint in 2015.

36' Grand Banks Layout

Choices is a two stateroom GB 36 Europa with sleeping accommodations forward and a large salon/galley/helm/dining area amidships which extends aft to the covered cockpit. On the upper level is a large flybridge, the upper helm seats four to six on standard Grand Banks seating plus a helm chair for the captain. It has a Bimini top and folding mast and boom. Two cushioned wicker chairs can be used on the upper deck or in the cockpit.

On entering the salon from the cockpit, one immediately notices the beautiful Grand Banks teak joinery and furnishings. An L-shaped settee is to port and a yacht table with folding leaves which can be moved into position for dining, is to starboard. The U-shaped galley with extensive storage is forward to port and a cabinet bar is opposite to starboard. The lower helm and door to the starboard covered deck is forward to starboard.

Down three steps to the forward accommodations, the forward stateroom contains a large V-berth with filler, two hanging lockers and good drawer storage. The head with separate shower is to the starboard and the second stateroom with single berth, hanging locker and cold-plate freezer is to port. A unique professional modification permits easy conversion of the berth to a very large double berth. The second stateroom is currently set up with a single bed and storage shelving.

The side decks and aft deck are covered, and high bulwarks and handrails run all the way to the pulpit for easy and secure docking. Decks are fiberglass with non-skid, in very good condition.
