Backup Girl is a classic 42 Grand Banks flybridge aft cabin trawler with the 2 stateroom, 2 head, galley-up layout.  She has teak decks, toe rail and swim platform with stainless steel handrails and deck hardware. The teak decking appears to be in excellent condition and the rest of the exterior teak is nicely finished with Cetol for attractive long lasting protection. She is equipped with a lower helm and a fly bridge helm with a bimini top.  Backup Girl will cruise economically with her reliable and fuel efficient twin Caterpillar 350HP diesel engines. She is also equipped with a Westerbeke 8KW diesel generator, Naiad Stabilizers, a dinghy, davit, and much more. In March 2015 she was hauled out for fresh bottom paint and the Naiad stabilizers were serviced.

The 42 Grand Banks Heritage double cabin is designed with the trunk cabin aft which provides full walk-around decks, a small aft deck, and an aft entrance to the master stateroom. There are separate head & shower in the master stateroom.

The VIP is forward with a large V-berth and private head with shower.

The large flybridge with the upper helm and full bimini with a 3 sided enclosure features an L-shaped settee and teak table in addition to forward and aft facing port and starboard seating all with storage under.

The salon is bright and open with port and starboard entry doors, tasteful upholstery, and satin finish teak.
