Overview

Calypso is a 1989 40' Hyatt sundeck trawler with a great pedigree. Her hull was manufactured by Trans World Yachts who are also known for the famous Alaskan yachts designed by Art DeFever. The actual completion of Calypso was in 1994 when her Cummins diesel engines were installed.Construction is a solid fiberglass semi- modified vee hull with fiberglass deck & superstructure with core. Her 14' 6" beam allows for  a very large aft sundeck with hardtop,flybridge with seating for 8, a large salon with galley down ,and a full beam aft master stateroom with a queen walk around berth and a side queen berth in the forward stateroom. Hyatt is well known for her elegant teak woodwork throughout.There have been 3 refits between 2014 & 2017 with numerous upgrades. Calypso has been very well maintained by her owner captain and is competitively priced. This vessel is turn key and ready to go.

40' Hyatt Walkthrough

From Calypso's large sundeck you can walk out to either side deck,step up to the spacious flybridge,step aft down the welded stairs to a custom fishing platform with live well. Also from the sundeck step down into the salon through the port side swing door. Stepping down the salon stairs you will find access to the aft master stateroom adjacent to the stairs.The salon hosts a beautiful pull out couch to starboard along with a high/low table. Directly to port is a single swivel chair, with a nicely arranged entertainment center including a 36" JVC flatscreen tv tied in to Dish satellite system.Large salon windows allow for plenty of light or fresh air. Moving forward the galley is down to starboard with a full refrigerator, microwave, 3 burner Princess electric stove top & portable convection oven. There is a large head & sink to port. Moving forward is the guest stateroom with queen side berth and bench seat.

40' Hyatt Accommodations

Calypso offers a full beam aft master stateroom with a centerline queen berth. Her vanity is to port along with a large hanging locker with enough room for its 3.0 ci freezer. There are built in teak storage drawers all around along with end tables on each side of the queen berth. The ensuite head is to starboard.The main salon hosts a pull out couch that sleeps 2, the forward master has a side queen berth to starboard and ensuite head to port.

40' Hyatt Salon

This large open salon has a pull out couch to starboard with a high/low table and built in teak storage cabinets. There is a lounge chair to port adjacent to the built in entertainment center.The cabinets below host the sharp stereo and dish tv tuner. There is also new custom Teak marine matt in the salon, galley & forward stateroom.  Located to port is also the ac/dc panel. Access to the aft sundeck is from the salon stairs to port. Next to the stairs is access to the aft master stateroom. There is also a new portable 10k BTU air conditioner and de-humidifier.Large windows all around allow for light and have blinds for privacy.

40' Hyatt Flybridge

The extra spacious flybridge offers new Strata-glass (2014). A new radar arch was also installed in 2015 with a Raymarine Sirius weather satellite receiver and automatic satellite dome & tv receiver. The flybridge can accommodate 8 people comfortably and has an extra 110 v outlet. She has all navigation & electronics easily visible & accessible. The Todd helm chair is surrounded by bench seating all around with cushions.

40' Hyatt Sundeck

The Hyatt aft sundeck is enormous. She has a wetbar with  a Black & Decker 3.3 ci mini fridge freezer,U-line icemaker, and sink. There is a Polaroid 20" flatscreen  with dvd mounted over the wetbar with a sunbrella cover. Calypso has solar screen around the entire sundeck that can be rolled up. There is also a nice round table with 4 wicker chairs. From the sundeck you can access the cabin,flybridge,forward deck and custom fishing platform aft with welded stairs down to the platform. There are also 4 overhead courtesy lights and 2 pioneer speakers over wetbar.
