Overview

ASANTE is the latest custom center cockpit Little Harbor 46 built by Ted Hood and is without question one of the finest and most detailed of that series.  This beautiful center cockpit design has been lovingly maintained by her three owners.  She has never lacked for the best care and ASANTE reflects that pride of ownership.  She offers a unique combination of performance, ease of operation and comfortable accommodations with state-of-the-art quality yacht construction, engineering, consistent upgrades and in turn-key condition.  The centerboard configuration provides a minimum draft of 5 ft 2 in with board up for easy access to shallow anchorages.  With her board down to 10 ft 4 in she offers maximum drive for superior pointing ability combined with her mast height of 64 ft, she offers an ideal combination for offshore sailing or transiting the ICW.

After nearly 70 years of yacht ownership, both power and sail, the owner of ASANTE has decided it is regrettably time to “drop-the-anchor” and sell ASANTE.  He has reduced the asking price on ASANTE $100,000 to facilitate a quick sale.

Accommodations

As expected from a Little Harbor, ASANTE has a beautiful, highly finished teak interior with exquisite joinerwork.  There are two private staterooms with ensuite heads.

Beginning forward is a large private stateroom with V-berth and filler for converting to a comfortable double.  Next aft to starboard is a large, double cedar-lined hanging locker. Opposite is a head compartment with shower and two-tone blue speckled Corian counters.

The MAIN SALON is large, bright and airy, featuring a settee to port with bookshelves outboard.  Opposite on starboard is a large U-shaped settee and teak table.  A built-in color TV and VCR along with stereo and CD player is located in the entertainment center, at the aft of the U-settee.  A custom beveled glass cabinet for crystal and china is built into the forward bulkhead.  The upholstery is in blue Ultrasuede.

On the aft end of the saloon is a large NAVIGATION STATION with seat, chart storage, and navigation instruments.  Additional chart storage is located under berth in the master stateroom.

The GALLEY is located in the starboard walk-through, offers execptional storage and counter space and includes:

  • Stainless steel sink
  • Corian counters
  • Dual Grunert engine driven and 110 volt refrigerator and freezer located on the starboard aft end of the galley
  • Force 10 gimbaled stainless steel 4-burner propane stove with oven and broiler
  • Microwave
  • S/S Raritan icemaker (2017)

The MASTER STATEROOM is located aft with centerline queen berth.  The owner's head is forward to port with separate stall shower. Hanging lockers are located on both port and starboard. A vanity with mirror is at the forward end of the cabin.

Numerous custom stainless opening ports, dorades and hatches provide excellent light and ventilation. Each hatch has a built-in screen and sunshade.  The lockdown-type cabin soles are teak with ebony inlays.
