Upon purchase in 2004 her engine was replaced with a new Sea Max 330 HP engine installed by Mark Navatril and constantly maintained by Chuck at Dockside Marine to his usual fine standards. Underwater maintenance has always been done by Mark Bracefield on a monthly basis. In addition to the Salt Shaker half tower, all canvas was replaced including side curtains and a full length Sunbrella canvas cover using Gortex stitching which was rigged over the aft cockpit supported by stainless piping maintained in proper style. A professionally decorated interior was installed in the main cabin to compliment the air conditioning , galley and twin berth sleeping area compete with a large table for dining or to be used as a filler for the twin berths. The head is set up for a holding tank or to be pumped overboard along with a hot and cold hand shower. The ultra strong aluminum piping for the half tower permits very secure hand holding for boarding and going forward. In all the years of anchoring for many events in all weathers, the Bruce anchor system has never dragged.

Vessel Walkthrough

V berth forward with vertically adjustable dinette table to form a double berth. Just aft of the berthing area, one on each side, there are built in single upholstered seats for ease of dressing. Galley is to port with Corian counters and hot and cold water with space for a two or three burner portable stove. There is also a Grunert combination refrigerator and freezer. Enclosed head and shower to starboard again with hot water availability. The Mermaid dockside air conditioning serves the entire lower cabin very comfortably even in the heat of summer.

You then go aft and up three steps to the pilot house with the command center to starboard served by a ¾ bench seat with a companion bench seat to port. Aft of these there is space for two high rise camper chairs followed by a cockpit where as many as six adults can gather for cocktails or picnicking. Aft of the cockpit there is a commodious swim platform and a retractable swim ladder.
