Overview
The Magnum 51’ is a narrow beam, deep-vee, with a very heavy hull, and is equipped with twin MTU M94 diesels 1600hp mated to Arneson surface drives tipped with Rolla NiBrAl surface piercing propellers. TEMPTRESS tops out at 74mph with this setup, burning an amazingly efficient 100gph at that speed. Reasonable and efficient cruise speeds settle in around 55mph. She slices through the waves and can comfortably make long crossings in rough seas. The deck was designed for Magnum by the Brazilian designer, Luiz de Basto. This boat is truly unique and is perhaps indicative of an exciting new chapter in Magnum Marine’s history.
