Overview

The Mainship 36 Double Cabin was always a popular aft-cabin motor cruisers under 40 feet. She is an easily driven, semi-displacement hull designed for efficient low-speed operation while retaining the ability to run at higher planing speeds. The belowdecks accommodations are arranged with the galley and dinette down a few steps from the salon, lower helm in the salon, and a walkaround double berth is located in the full-beam aft stateroom. With both the dinette and salon sofa converted, the Mainship will sleep eightnot bad for a 36-foot boat. Topside, the flybridge is set up with the helm forward and guest seating aft, and theres room on the full-width afterdeck for a few pieces of deck furniture. With her 270hp Crusader gas engines, the Mainship 36 delivers a relatively good turn of speed. Shell cruise at 1415 knots and reach a top speed in the low 20s.
