Overview

This 1986 Mainship 36' motor yachts two cabin design provides very comfortable accommodations for the owner and guests and features a galley and dinette down layout that is open to the salon. She is powered by twin Crusader 270 hp gas engines and an Kohler 7.5 kw generator. A large fully enclosed sundeck and flybridge provide excellent outdoor areas for entertaining and navigation. This boat has had many recent upgrades, is turn key and ready to cruise immediately.

The owner will consider a trade for a 30'-35' 5th wheel RV camper with or without a suitable truck to pull it.

Mainship 36 Walk Through

Boarding this yacht can be accomplished on either the port or starboard side just forward of the sundeck or onto the swim platform and up a ladder on to the sundeck. Once on the large sundeck a custom entryway to the salon is just off center forward and molded steps up to the flybridge are to port. The large foredeck can be accessed by walkways on either side of the boat. Once in the salon, the master cabin companionway is to port aft and the lower helm is starboard forward in the salon. Forward of the salon and down, the dual bench seat dinette is to starboard and U-shaped galley is to port. Forward of the galley is the guest head to port. The guest cabin is a standard v-berth and is all the way forward in the bow.

Mainship 36 Accomodations

This yacht can sleep seven comfortably and features a full beam master cabin with centered full berth aft and a comfortable second cabin with standard V-berth forward in the bow. Additionally, the dinette converts to a double berth and the sofa in the salon can sleep one. The master cabin features an ensuite head and a second guest head is forward of the galley.

Mainship 36 Salon

The large salon on this yacht is at the bottom of the companionway from the sundeck. The salon spans the entire width of the main cabin with the lower helm to starboard and the  companionway to the master cabin to port aft. A sofa with storage underneath is to starboard in the space and can sleep one comfortably. A large 32" Vizio flat screen TV is mounted on the starboard aft bulkhead at the foot of the sofa. A wicker chair with cushions and a swivel rattan chair with cushions is to port. The sole is  teak and holly and new in 2013 and provides several access panels to the engine compartment. Along the starboard bulkhead is a built in book case with storage cabinets. Large windows with shades and curtains are along both port and starboard bulkheads and have additional outside covers.

Mainship 36 Lower Helm

The lower helm is to starboard and forward in the salon. The lower helm features:

The U-shaped galley is forward and down to port from the salon and features:

  • Single basin stainless steel sink
  • Formica counter tops with teak trimmed cabinets above and below

Mainship 36 Dinette

The large double bench seat dinette is forward and down to Starboard from the salon and can comfortably seat five or sleep two once converted. The dinette table is Formica with oak trim and a shelf at table height is along the starboard bulkhead. A single portlight and overhead hatch provide natural light and ventilation to the space and the sole is carpeted.

Mainship 36 Guest Stateroom

The forward guest cabin features a traditional V-berth configuration. Each side of the berth has under bunk storage and a hanging locker is aft and to starboard of the berth. Each berth features a reading light and a large shelf and access to the chain locker is forward. A single portlight on the starboard side with curtain and an overhead hatch provide natural light and fresh airflow to the space. The sole is carpeted.

Mainship 36 Guest Head

The guest head is just forward of the dinette and features:

  • Raritan toilet with Purasan sewage treatment system (2014)
  • Fiberglass molded vanity with sink, teak trim and under sink storage
  • Medicine cabinet with portlight and shelf above vanity
  • Teak grate on the sole

Mainship 36 Master Stateroom & Ensuite Head

The full beam master aft cabin is spacious and features a full, centered full berth with nightstands and lamps on either side. Storage space includes a large hanging locker upon entering the space, storage cabinets and drawers along the port bulkhead, two large hanging lockers at the foot of the berth, drawers in the nightstands and storage under the berth. Two portlights with curtains are on the aft bulkhead and two more on the starboard bulkhead provide additional light and ventilation.

The ensuite head is to starboard in the cabin and features:

  • A separate shower stall with portlight
  • Dometic self contained toilet with 9 gallon holding tank (2016)
  • Fiberglass molded vanity with sink, teak trim and under sink storage
  • Medicine cabinet with portlight above

Mainship 36 Flybridge

From the sundeck up a set of molded steps you arrive on the flybridge. The helm is forward with two captains chairs and a padded bench seat with storage is to starboard. The flybridge is fully enclosed with canvas and Isinglass (2013) which are in good condition. The helm features dual cup holders on each side of the helm and the following equipment:

  • Standard Horizon GPS Chart CP500 chartplotter
  • Hummingbird 346c DI Fishfinder
  • Standard Horizon Matrix AIS VHF radio with DSC GX2100
  • Guest Judson Engine synchronizer indicator
  • Engine gauge cluster (2016)

  • Ritchie compass
  • Windlass (2013) and trim tab controls
  • Jabsco search light controls (2016)

Mainship 36 Sundeck

The large, full beam sundeck features two wicker chairs with cushions and a wicker with glass top coffee table. The sundeck is fully enclosed with Isinglass (2013) and a hard top and features a magna propane grill, coleman two burner propane stove and a household ice maker. A transom door provides access to the swim platform and tender.
