The 42 Marquis SC is so modern and sleek it is hard to believe it is made in the USA.
Boarding is via the extra wide swim platform and up one step to the Cockpit with an electrically movable seat that slides aft to give even more room.
The large hinged entry door to port has a matching side light which also opens making the Salon open air when needed.
The black maple hardwood Salon sole contrasts nicely with the U shaped settee to starboard and built in to port.
Down one step to port is the open Galley. Opposite and up two steps is the Helm Area with a comfortable two person bench seat.
Down two steps to starboard is the Guest Cabin with twin bunks. To port the shared Head with stall shower and forward the Master Cabin with a walk around queen berth.
Entered via a large door to port, nearly the entire aft bulkhead is glass. In fact with its polycarbonate sunroof and dual level Salon windows, there is an amazing amount of natural light that enters SEA E O.
Immediately to starboard is a two tone C shaped settee with storage below and an electrically operated hi-lo table that has two leaves to expand to 100% of its folded size. Outboard of the settee are the aforementioned two level Salon windows with drapes at the lower level and LED lights and speakers above the upper level.
To port is a built in cabinet with a popup Sole 26” LCD TV, three cabinet doors, a drawer and the two door main AC electrical panel. Also in this area is a Clarion LCD panel AM/FM radio, a six disc changer and two level Salon windows with drapes, LED lights and speakers to match those to starboard.
Two leather occasional chairs lie in front of the cabinetry.
Also in the Salon is blue LED ambient lighting, a CO detector and a snap on aft door curtains for privacy.
The Galley is next forward and to port and down one small step.
It is C shaped and contains the following equipment:
Hardwood planked wood sole with large storage area below
Corian countertop
Princess two burner Ceran top cook top
Under mount extra deep stainless steel sink
Lucite sea rail aft
Dometic stainless steel microwave
Vitrifrigo stainless steel under counter refrigerator w/freezer compartment
(3) Under counter lights
Backlit 3 shelf glass rack behind curved Lucite door
(2) Cabinets
(2) Drawers
(3) Dedicated LED lights above
Exhaust fan
Down two steps and forward is the Guest Cabin on the starboard side. Entering from the front of the cabin there are two berths facing forward with a small nightstand between.
Outboard are two opening round stainless steel portholes with drapes. Above is a two door storage cabinet followed by a two door auto lit hanging locker and a two door cabinet below.
Also in this cabin are four halogen mini spots, a carpeted sole, two stereo speakers, a CO monitor, a deck level courtesy light and a skylight above.
Opposite the Guest Cabin and to starboard is the yacht’s Head. The vanity has two cabinet doors and two drawers below the Corian countertop. The sink is a glass vessel type with countertop faucet controls.
The stall shower has a clear glass door, an opening obscured glass stainless steel porthole, a handheld or wall mountable fixture, a light and an exhaust fan.
Also in the Head is an additional storage cabinet, two mirrored medicine cabinet doors above the sink, a skylight, four halogen mini spots, a marble tile sole and a Vacuuflush toilet.
The Head is also air conditioned.
All the way forward is the Master Cabin with an oversize queen size island berth on centerline from the forward bulkhead. Two drawers under the bed offer storage. The headboard has two sconce type reading lights with an obscured glass escape hatch above. Triangular shelves act as nightstands. Two raised steps port and starboard make access easier.
Behind drapes to both port and starboard are fixed stainless steel deadlights. Above behind drapes are fixed tinted skylights.
Aft to starboard is a small cabinet with a Clarion M475 AM/FM/CD player with an iPod connection and a separate Clarion DVD player.
Next aft is a two door auto lit hanging locker with a central vacuum inside.
A 20” Sole LCD TV is tilted towards the bed and mounted on the aft bulkhead next to the entry door. An upholstered bench with storage within is below.
To port is a storage cabinet, the Cabin’s digital AC controls and a mirrored panel.
Also in this cabin is a carpeted sole, stereo speakers, a CO monitor and seven halogen mini spots.
Actual LOA is 43’7”.
With her metallic black hull and trim, racy lines and good turn of speed SEA E O will turn heads in any port.
An accomplished sea boat this particular 42 SC has cruised as far south as Puerto Rico and spent a part of her life in Lake Michigan.
Well equipped, nicely maintained and fairly priced SEA E O is offered for sale by an owner who is moving up to a much larger vessel.
