POLYTROPON II is one of the most succesful Nautor Custom Yachts, built by Nautor's Swan in 2008 measuring 25,11m (82') in length. POLYTROPON II is a high performance cruiser that offers exhilarating sailing thanks to the combination of quality Finnish construction with the renowned pedigree of naval architech German Frers.  An easy-sailing superyacht with distinctive and unique slim deckhouse, performing ultra-modern interior design by Lazzarini & Pickerings Studio.
 

This unique sailing yacht is offered in combination with her Escort Boat M/Y Polytrofon II. This original and innovative concept has much to offer and great appeal. M/Y Polytrofon II is a 30 knot Escort Boat, with a crew of four, who perform all daily routines on board, thus offering absolute solitude and privacy for S/Y Polytropon IIs guests whilst providing impeccable yet subtle five-star service.

 
  

HULL & APPENDAGES

 

Construction 

  • Hull is constructed using a pre preg carbon fibre /epoxy sandwich laminate over Corecell foam core
  • Laminated in a female mould to ensure excellent external finish
  • Stiffeners, chain plates, mast step and bulkheads in Carbon Fibre pre preg using unidirectional fibres
  • Hull windows on either side of Saloon, Owner’s Forward Cabin and Aft Guests Cabins
  • Hydraulically operated transom door doubles as a bathing platform
  • Large bathing area with cushions aft the two steering consoles.
  • Wireless remote controls for transom door

 

Hull Finish

  • Topsides and superstructure are finished in White Snow AwlGrip polyurethane paint.
  • Bottom, below the waterline, is treated with epoxy primer then finished with International antifouling

 

Keel

  • Hi-strength steel keel fin with 4.5% antimony hardened lead bulb
  • AISI 329 hi-tensile keel bolts

 

Steering Systems 

  • Twin sprocket and chain steering system with stainless steel cables, 3.2 turns end to end.
  • The rudder supplied by Isotrop, carbon fibre skins on foam core and tubular carbon stock

DECK

  • Deck is constructed in pre-preg sandwich using Corecell foam, hi-density core under hi-load areas 
  • Composite surfaces are painted with Snow White AwlGrip paint system. 
  • The side decks, fore deck, cockpit sole and seats are covered with 60 x 9 mm quarter cut teak battens with 5 mm caulking.
  • Two built-in angled helmsman’s supports are located at the steering positions
  • 30 mm high teak toe rail forward of the mast

Polytropon II is performing ultra-modern interior design by Lazzarini & Pickerings Studio. Featuring a combination of white stained teak with Osmo wax finish, white painted and white leather panels.  Cabin sole is teak with holly trim with 100mm spacing

 

Practically all interior’s joinery, partitions and panels are foam core construction achieving a considerable weight saving.

 

  • Overhead panels finished in white stained teak and fitted with flush mounted LED lighting
  • Reading lights at the head of each berth and automatic lighting in each storage locker
