BROKER’S COMMENTS

With seventy-five examples launched between 1998 and 2010, the Rob Humphreys designed 56 is Oyster’s most popular ever model.  She was the class leader for blue water sailing yachts of this size, offering enough space for luxurious and comfortable long distance cruising, whilst being easy for a couple to handle.  Her medium displacement and fine entry make her comfortable in a seaway, whilst her deep bulb keel and generous sail plan give her excellent performance.
Shaya Moya was launched in 2004, and is still in her original ownership. She has circumnavigated, and, as you might expect, has a comprehensive specification, along with an exhaustive list of upgrades and refinements. Under sail, she is easy to handle from the cockpit with her versatile cutter rig featuring hydraulic, push button furling to the mainsail, genoa and staysail. Her layout is seamanlike, with three cabins; a spacious en-suite master cabin aft, with double and twin guest cabins forward, sharing a second head/shower.  The fourth cabin has been converted into a practical workshop/utility room with washing machine, water maker, wet locker and main engine access. Her interior joinery is in maple, giving a light and airy feel to the accommodation.
She has been well maintained and constantly upgraded, her sails, spray hood and Bimini, for example, were all new in 2014. Shaya Moya is a proven circumnavigator, and is ready to do the same again. If you have less ambitious plans, Shaya Moya represents an excellent opportunity to purchase a comprehensively equipped and well-maintained cruising yacht.
