Overview

"Susannah Gale" is a stellar example of one the best and most luxurious bluewater cruising boats designed by Bob Perry. She features comfort, safety, seaworthiness, and performance all wrapped up in a luxurious package. With her in-boom roller-furling mainsail, her furling job, and all lines lead back to electric winches in the cockpit, she can be easily sailed solo. But her elegant details and comfortable layout make her perfect for a couple or a cruising family.

Her two-cabin layout features a large v-berth forward with its own private head and stall shower, and a spacious queen-sized centerline berth aft, with a private head and shower. The high quality of her construction is evident everywhere you look, from the joinery to the stainless steel portholes to the solid structure of the deck and hull. This is a very special boat, and one that you could sail to exotic ports tomorrow and be assured that you were perfectly outfitted and equipped. Her loving owners have spared no expense, and it shows!

Luxurious Accommodations

From the very moment you descend the stairs from the cockpit into the luxurious interior of this ship, you are surrounded by the warm colors of fine teak and transported to a time when boats were built to the highest standards of quality. This is not the "plastic" interior you see on many new boats. The interior of the Passport 456 is all class.

The galley is to starboard and features a large amount of counter space and storage. It will thrill the seagoing chef! To port, is a large nav station with features, such as an electronic barograph and an SSB Radio, not found in modern nav stations. However, all the modern instruments are there as well, with redundancies for everything. The hallway to port continues aft into the spacious aft cabin, which features a centerline queen-sized bed that sits underneath two portholes and an opening hatch for ventilation while at anchor. There is a full hanging locker lined with teak, and all the storage you would ever need for long term cruising and/or living aboard.

The private aft head features Corian countertops, a stall shower, towels monogrammed with the name of the boat, an electric head, and plenty of space.

Moving forward once again, the salon opens up to feature a large table to port (which also folds town to a bed OR can be replaced by a smaller cocktail table should you desire) and seating for 6 or more. To starboard, a TV is stowed discreetly in its own cabinet, there is more seating, and there is a lovely lit cabinet for cocktail glasses sitting  beside a top-of-the-line Chelsea brass clock and barometer.

The keel-stepped mast is encased in teak, with a full-sized door allowing access to the step and to the wiring. The result is a protected and secure mast step that doesn't negatively affect the look if the interior.

The v-berth is lined with opening portholes and a tremendous amount of storage, and is very comfortable for two. As with the aft cabin, the forward cabin features a head with separate stall shower, Corian countertops, and an electric head.

There is enough room inside this boat to spread out, live, work, entertain, and cruise in the utmost comfort! You have to see to believe. Let's go take a tour!
