Overview

This 2008 Sea Ray 55 Sundancer "Black Diamond" is an exceptionally maintained Sea Ray 55 Sundancer cared for by the same owner since new. The owner's attention to detail is evident upon stepping aboard. She has been recently detailed (May 2019) and she stands tall and is turn key - ready for her next adventure! Black Diamond splits her time between the West Coast of FL and Kentucky. Her partial fresh water history is evident in the condition of her engine room and hull. The broker is so confident in her condition that he will subsidize the travel for any qualified prospective buyer who does not agree with the condition assessment.

Vessel Walkthrough

From the hydraulic swim platform entry into the cockpit is provided both port and starboard with the main entry from starboard steps. Immediately to port is a large “J” shaped lounge with adjacent electric grill/cooktop and refrigerator to starboard. Forward of the lounge is a wetbar with sink and icemaker with lots of integrated storage beneath. Opposite the wetbar is a patented circular lounge that can be swung around a beautiful optional high-gloss teak dinette table so that the occupants view can be in any direction. Forward of the circular lounge is Black Diamond’s state of the art helm with two custom helm chairs with excellent view in every direction. The helm is equipped with every option to include  dual Raymarine E-120 and Garmin touchscreen displays, radar, autopilot, 24V bow and stern thrusters, digital engine diagnostics, digital generator display all ergonomically designed for easy access to the systems from the helm. Opposite the helm to port is additional companion seating making accommodating up to 16 adults a breeze on deck.

Galley

The fully functioning galley includes large areas of storage making provisioning for those extended cruises a delight. Lots of countertop space is available for preparation of meals and all appliances are conveniently located. Sub Zero refrigerator and freezer are located beneath the countertop while the stainless steel sink and three-burner Kenyon cooktop include convenient covers matching the solid surface countertop allowing for even more preparation space when not in use. The Tappan microwave/convection oven is neatly stowed within a drawer top when not in use. Drawers and smoked-glass cabinets are abundant within the galley.

Electrical/Other

All vessel systems including AC and DC power, water, waste, lighting, entertainment and ship to shore power is controlled via touchscreen and remote touchscreen controls. This system is similar to the Lutron systems one might find in an upscale home. At all companionways, staterooms, heads, and salon, touchpads are available and conveniently marked for lighting, entertainment, and water systems. The touchpads located in the heads also include readout for fresh water level and waste level. A large touchscreen is located at the companionway to the master stateroom and can be utilized to moniter all of the ships systems as well as program all systems for use underway, at the dock, or while owners are away. These controls can be accessed remotely using Ipad, Iphone, computer, or other remotely connecting devices. Additionally, a remote control can be used while aboard to control systems from anywhere aboard. Black Diamond’s electrical systems include 12 and 24 volt DC systems as well as a 50 Amp 240 volt AC system. A remotely operated Glenndenning cable master can be utilized by one person making the conversion from ship’s power back to shore power a snap. Power underway is provided by an Onan 21 kW generator with 2100 hours.

Hull & Deck

The foredeck includes a roomy sunpad with drink holders, windlass with stainless steel anchor, foot pedal windlass controls, and large gauge stainless steel rails and stanchions. The hardtop includes dual electronically retracting sun screens along with sunbrella aft enclosure. The hull is midnight black and was recently polished as of May 2019. The cockpit includes a patented multi-position carousel seating, outdoor galley, grill, and A/V entertainment system and seating for many owners and guests. The hydraulic swim platform includes guides for chalks that can accommodate tender or jet ski.

Electronics

The electronics package has been upgraded to include the very powerful Raymarine E120 and Garmin 7212 multifunction touch screen display. Her powerful autopilot will track to multiple points reducing the operators workload ultimately making cruising more enjoyable. Optional 24V bow and stern thrusters make maneuvering in tight quarters or in adverse conditions a breeze.
