Overview

The 38 m. Conversion expedition « Solea » was built in 1974 by Schiffswerft Maschf. Max Sieghold in Bremerhaven, Germany and completely refitted in 2009,and 2017 transforming her in a very luxury superyacht. She has been constantly upgraded, is in a fantastic condition and ready to cruise all over the world. She accommodated 12 guests in 6 luxury cabins. She has incredible volume and the  upperddeck is more than 150 M2. no works to be anticipated and ready to go around the world .

Unique 36m Explorer yacht with 9m Carbon tender 50knots max

In a world where most superyachts look alike, following the dictates of fashion, Solea is an ambassador of a new breed of ship, sailing oceans while ignoring distances, facing the worst storms in a total and rare feeling of safeness and comfort, ready to explore the last frontiers of the globe.

Solea was built in 1974 as German Government Research vessel for use in the North Sea and the Baltic and is ice reinforced. In 2004, she passed into private hands and was then extensively converted, redesigned and refitted into a private exploration vessel and is, since then, Germanischer Lloyd Class approved. All the vessel insulation and walls were replaced, the electrical system redone and the entire sanitary system redesigned to allow all cabins including the crew cabins to have ‘ensuite’ facilities.

Almost all the electronics were upgraded or changed. The original steel deck has been covered with teak, but all the fittings like bollards, windlass, sheaves, cleats and the emergency anchors have been kept in place, combining sculptural beauty and state of the art efficiency. The wheelhouse and the majority of the instruments like the very powerful radars have been kept in original condition too. Due to her outward appearance this is not your typical yacht but the rugged exterior belies the surprisingly comfortable and refined interior.
