ZOOM has been designed with cruising in mind. She is equipped with a state-of-the-art electrical system that will keep her owners comfortable at sea or on the hook. She is equipped with 50 Amp shore service with a Glendinning Cablemaster... The powerful Northern Lights genset (12KW -2412 hrs) includes a sound-shield and is easily accessible in the engine room.
As cruising and livability were priorities in the design of the Symbol 52 Pilothouse, the layout of the deck makes movement throughout the vessel comfortable and safe. ZOOM has wide side decks with high stanchions, lifelines for comfortable and safe passage from the aft deck to the foredeck and pilothouse. Ground tackle and mooring gear is beefy and includes, remote windlass and washdown. To make cruising even more pleasant, ZOOM includes stabilizers by Naiad. These 6 square foot stabilizers actively work to reduce rolling motion in adverse conditions. The stabilizers were recently serviced (1/2017) and ready for action. The Symbol 52 Pilot House includes an integrated swim platform with recessed ladder for swimming, diving, and line handling. The aft deck features a large lazarette with lots of storage for swimming and diving gear. A watertight, lockable door/hatch provides engine room access from the aft deck. The rudders and emergency steering system can be easily accessed through the lazarette.
The engine room is very well designed providing generous access to all machinery and equipment. Recent service has been completed on the mains and generator (5/19).
Her Flybridge is expansive and can be accessed from either the Pilothouse or the aft deck. The comfortable helm puts the skipper within hands reach of all electronics and navigation equipment and provides excellent visibility of the surroundings. Large enough to accommodate many guests, the bridge includes everything needed to entertain. A grilling station includes an electric grill, refrigerator and icemaker. The dinghy is cradled on the aft section of the bridge and is easily launched via a low profile electric davit.
