Overview

"Amazing Grace" features all of the desirable options for a couple to cruise the US East coast and Caribbean including Wesmar stabilization, water maker, dual thrusters, newer Garmin electronics including AIS, RIB tender and fuel purification.  All owners (past and present) have taken the utmost care along with proper service throughout her life.  Don't let the engine hours fool you as she has been run at displacement speeds since new - translating to similar engine wear as shorter hour, planing speed operation.

Admirably painted with a  flag blue Awlgrip hull and awlgripped decks, "Amazing Grace" exterior features include wide walkaround decks with high bulwarks (ie safety for pets and young children), large lazarette, stand-up engine room, comfy covered cockpit, spacious flybridge settee and a custom anchor 'chute'.

The interior features high gloss cherrywood furnishings throughout, big pilothouse settee, mid-ship master stateroom with an oversized shower stall and many custom features which Symbol specialized in doing for many yacht owners who wanted to move up from a production style boat to a 'mini-yacht' which was easy to handle and cruise with just a couple.  She is a dream yacht to operate, cruise, live aboard and own!

"Amazing Grace" is easy to show anytime in Lighthouse Point, Florida with notice and is sure to impress any savvy pilothouse buyer!  Motivated two-boat owner!

Interior

The interior of “Amazing Grace” features gloss-finished cherrywood paneling with burl accents throughout and a notable abundance of finely-crafted curved cabinetry.   Fabric themes are neutral tones for the main deck upholstery, accent pillows, and bedspreads. The galley and heads feature beautiful granite (beige w/black flecks and double bull-nosed) countertops, teak/holly flooring and Grohe fixtures.  Carpeting is a custom , lo-pile pattern in the salon and in the staterooms.  Window treatments include white Hunter-Douglas silhouette blinds in the salon area and beige roman drapes in the pilothouse.  Headliners are vinyl with velcro fastenings for easy removal.  Stainless steel  opening portlights in all staterooms with overhead hatches found in the pilothouse and the VIP stateroom.   Cabinet pulls, overhead light and plumbing fixtures are a polished brass finish.  All closets are cedar-lined with mirrored doors

The spacious salon features a 11’ U-shaped, fabric covered sofa, a loose easy chair, a custom coffee table (holding an ottoman) and a lovely set of cabinets to port which house the entertainment center. The ceiling features a custom cherry wood soffit. Dual stainless steel sliding doors ( with beige drapes) and large windows provide plenty of viewing ability and lighting.

The pilothouse is up four steps featuring a centered helm station with a Stidd helm chair and a convenient galley aft and starboard. To port, a large raised settee (re-covered 2015) w/an expandable cherry wood table offers plenty of viewable seating for companions. A heavy-duty Airitex stainless steel wing door to starboard accesses the walk around decks.  A wood  stairway to port accesses the flybridge (Pet friendly for large dogs or cats!)

Accommodations are reached via a forward starboard stairwell located to starboard in the pilothouse.  At the foyer landing, the master stateroom is aft with a bath to starboard (note an over-sized shower with a bench seat). The master bed is a queen centerline with drawer storage beneath. Gorgeous shoji screens complement the upscale décor and slide open to access s/s portlights. A make up vanity is to port. Mirrored doors accent the full-length closets.  An escape hatch is provided in the master stateroom.

Forward of the foyer/landing and up two steps is an inviting and cozy Guest stateroom/office to port featuring a convertible sofa across from a desk (housing an lcd tv ) and a VIP stateroom with a centerline queen bed (hinges up).  These two staterooms share a roomy bath (two access doors) with a stall shower.

The pilothouse galley features a U-shaped granite countertop (note a raised cherrywood/burl smaller countertop above) with ample storage cabinets (including optional overhead cabinets), a look-through cut-out to the salon aft and a nice viewing window next to the starboard wing door. Note again that “Amazing Grace” offers two engine room entrances – one is through a large hatch on the aft deck and the other is through a watertight door on the transom.

The C12 Cat engines have been carefully maintained over their lifespan.  Annual oil samples are available from the current owner.  A 3,000 hour service was performed by Smith & Wick Diesel including renewed and upgraded aftercoolers.

Of special note that CAT engine maintenance intervals are measured in fuel consumed as opposed to hours.  Total fuel moved through these engines are  indicating displacement operation throughout lifespan which is equivalent to engines with much lower hours run at higher rpms.

Remarks

Jack Sarin designs and engineers superior, sea-kindly hulls with tons of volume and aesthetically pleasing lines which resist trends. The ride is flat, comfortable and quiet in all points of coastal wave conditions.  She is easy to handle and maneuver with high walk-around decks featuring attractive extended overhangs (custom ordered).

“Amazing Grace” is indeed a mini-megayacht, with an upscale interior, many upgrades and extensive equipment - which savvy yachting couples will find extraordinarily appealing.   While Symbol yachts are not well-known in today's yachting circles, this model offers far more than comparable pilothouse yachts in terms of seakeeping, volume/comfort, construction and amenities.

The Symbol 58 is a proven, very stable yacht ideal for the 'loop', coastal waters and the Islands!  Note especially the wide 17'8" beam and a draft of only 4'8", walk-around decks, large covered aft deck, dual access to flybridge, dual access to the engine room and lazarette,  upgraded electronics, tender, watermaker, upgraded stabilization,  improved fuel polishing system, midship master stateroom, very useable pilothouse/flybridge configuration and an awesome interior!

"Amazing Grace" has always been well-maintained as well as upgraded to modern standards  by knowledgeable owners and is ready to cruise!  You will be amazed at how many sophisticated yachters will envy this good looking yacht.  This is the sellers' second Symbol yacht which represents their appreciation for the brand.

Easy to inspect anytime with appointment behind home in Lighthouse Point, Florida.
