Plan B Layout

Plan B eliminates the port dinette in favor of a port galley, creating a private forward owner's stateroom with queen-size pedestal bed. As in Plan A, aft lounge converts to queen berth with privacy enclosure. The Plan B starboard head has access from both the salon and the owner's stateroom.

COCKPIT & HELM

The cockpit on the 3500 Express is designed for comfort and convenience. The helm is a “heads up” fiberglass tilt-away helm station with full flush mount electronics capability. The double wide helm seat with optional power adjustment is comfortable and sits high, providingf clear while idling or throttling up and cruising. The forward facing companion lounge, with tons of storage, sits right next to the helm seat and provides ample seating for four adults to enjoy the comfortable ride. There is chart storage, drink holders, and glove box adjacent to the helm, and the bronze acrylic sliding companion door with lock sits to the port side. Directly behind the companion lounge you can opt for a drop- down aft facing seat. A standard wet bar with sink and optional ice maker sits to starboard behind the helm seat. Across the transom there is a molded-in lounge with storage and a removable insulated cooler below. Dual molded-in transom steps with hinged S.S. gates make entering the cockpit easy, and standard cockpit lighting with remote feature ensures safe footing. There is a large transom storage trunk with approximately 95 cubic feet of storage space. A huge 48" swim platform with built-in folding ladder is typically opted for in place of the standard 30". The cruising arch with handrails, bimini top, and side curtains is also standard.

Galley

The galley on the 3500 Express is spacious and well thought-out. Corian countertops, built-in microwave oven, S.S. sink, two burner electric stove, coffee maker, and refrigerator/freezer are featured in both floor plans. There is also plenty of storage.

Mechanical

This 3500 Express has two Cummins 6BTA 5.9-M3, which are rated at 370 h.p. each. There is a Teleflex hydraulic steering system with 22" S.S. destroyer wheel, high speed bronze axe head rudders and struts, Racor fuel filters, water cooled shaft logs, fresh water cooling on the main engines, twin Verney mufflers, a Quiet Tone underwater exhaust, Armco Aquamet 19 S.S. prop shafts, and the list goes on.

Windshield and Bow

The windshield is made of welded aluminum and Solex 1/4" safety glass, and handrails, and a center hinged ventilating section make this windshield one the best in the industry. The transition to the foredeck is easy with grab rails and a sturdy one-piece welded bow rail to assist movement forward. Other deck features of the 3500 Express include three aluminum deck hatches with screens and privacy covers, forward deck sun pad with S.S. handrails, drink holders and storage, flush forward anchor locker with overboard drain, and a fiberglass molded-in bow pulpit with standard windlass wiring and S.S. roller assembly.

Engine Notes
