Overview

"Argonauta" is a fine example of the popular Tollycraft 44' Cockpit Motoryacht.  Powered by reliable CAT 375hp 3208s (2100 hours), she would make the perfect Great Loop boat or Coastal Cruiser. She features a 2-stateroom/2-head layout with dinette and galley down, and has a very roomy salon with a side door for easy deck access. She has a large open-air aft deck and an enclosed flybridge with seating for 6.  

The Tollycraft 44' was built with a sold fiberglass bottom and a very sharp entry point. This hull design translates into a very smooth and stable ride, even in choppy conditions. She is extremely economical at "trawler" speeds, but has the ability to get up and run 22 knots to cover more bottom when wanted. This feature, along with the convenience of the cockpit, is why the boat has always been so popular with the serious long-distance cruising couples.

"Argonauta" is located at Bluewater Yachting Center in Hampton, VA. The Owner is retiring from boating and has listed his fine yacht for sale at an attractive asking price to produce a quick sale. She has just had her bottom painted and her carpets have been cleaned. She comes equipped with a dingy davit on her foredeck and an inflatable dingy with Yamaha 8hp outboard. Serious Seller!!

Accommodations and Layout

"Argonauta" offers a very roomy two-stateroom, two-head arrangement with galley and dinette down, leaving space for an enormous salon amidships and an enclosed aft deck.

Stepping aboard the yacht on the swim platform, the cockpit is accessed through the transom door. The cockpit is large enough to be very useful, but is not over-bearing. The sundeck is accessed from a centerline ladder from the cockpit, and is shaded by a custom bimini top that covers the entire aft deck. Flybridge and side decks are easily accessed, and visibility from the helm through the custom enclosure is excellent. The flybridge has the standard two-pedestal seats with "L-shaped" bench seat aft- enough seating for 6.

Enter the cabin from aft deck through either through the companionway. or the sliding door on the starboard side. The salon is very open and roomy, giving the boat a very spacious feeling. To starboard is an "L-Shaped" lounge and fold-out coffee table, Also to starboard is a sliding door which leads to the side deck when needed. To port is the entertainment center, ice maker, main electric panel, and additional storage.

Forward and down from the salon is the galley to port and the convertible dinette to starboard. The galley features a large over/under refrigerator/freezer, Princess 3-burner stove, Samsung convection microwave, large sink, and parquette flooring. The convertible dinette to starboard converts into a double berth, and also offers plenty of built-in storage space..

All the way forward is the Guest Stateroom. This space consists of wide V-berths with filler cushion, private access to the day head, overhead hatch, and an abundance of storage.  

The full-beam Master Stateroom is aft, and features a centerline queen berth, private head with stall shower, hanging locker and drawer storage, and a large vanity. Plenty of natural light is provided via multiple ports on both sides and two escape hatches aft.
