2011 Refit (May 2011)

INTERIOR REFIT MAY 2011

Refit under the direction of Claudette Bonville Associates, Inc. The boat now evokes a fresh, contemporary feel starting with the exterior.  Not only were all the built in seating areas reupholstered, all loose furniture was replaced and a new hot tub now sits under the mast adjacent to the exterior shower.  The flybridge lends itself to worship the sun with a huge sun pad, and lots of oversized throw pillows for ultimate comfort.  The elegant embroidered fluffy beach towels add to the elegance.

The interior woodwork was brought back to its original luster and looks as if it was just installed.  Extensive changes were made to update the millwork look, starting with the replacement of the entry doors throughout.  New doors now include an understated inlay of maple burl.

Hard surface floors were modified or changed.  Now, only elegant botticino marble tile is in the main deck entrance/companion way, Brazilian mahogany was installed in the lower guest foyer floor as was white Thasos marble in the master head area.  Queen cabin guest head vanities were replaced with slabs of beautiful blue quarts stone.  Remaining marble tops, vanities and floors throughout the boat were re- grouted, polished, sealed and returned to bright, shiny surfaces.

Just about every material was changed and replaced on the boat throughout the guest areas, entertainment areas, galley, as well as the crew’s quarters.  Materials chosen are thick carpets, textural sofa fabrics, buttery leathers and unique designer fabrics adding just the right amount of color within the calm, comfortable entertainment areas.

Every entertainment area features new motorized window treatments, repainted overhead panels, new overhead fabrics and all wall panels were either changed to contemporary linens or marine friendly leather like materials. New mattresses, furnishings and other features of the boat were also replaced.

The aft entrance of the main salon includes a round dining table for 10, flanked by soft hued, blue walls that seem to bring the outside sky and ocean into the space.  Two magnificent 5’ contemporary pieces of art complete the space.  Moving forward into the main saloon guest will enjoy a bar with a new front face, surrounded by five sleek vanilla color leather bar stools.  New appliances were added to enhance this service area.

To port, chrome and glass coffee tables and oversized slate blue leather chairs face two large, custom sofas upholstered in an opulent, off-white chenille.  Finishing the welcoming conversation areas are rich colored throw pillows and chenille throws along with an assortment of unique glass, metal and ceramic accessories.

Day heads on main deck and the 01 deck, feature new fixtures, new toilet (main), new wall coverings, window treatments, overheads and accessories.  Stone floors and counter tops have been polished and new accessories added for a whole new look.

Interior colors on floors, walls, ceilings and larger furniture pieces were selected in various textures in  shades of off-whites so the contemporary art work placed throughout the interior could pop in dramatic color where needed.  The effect is sleek, fresh and very up to date.  Guests will enjoy gallery quality art and sculpture throughout the yachts interior, most of which were commissioned for the project.

The forward space is a dining room that seats 10 people comfortably. Again, all materials are new and the furniture selected for this space is a custom made dining table made of polished stainless steel and a thick glass top that seems to float in the room.  Softening the dining area are magenta velvet covered Italian chairs and unique coordinating velvet upholstered oversized seats at both ends.  A Swarovski covered pillow adds unexpected elegance.   Art work in this space is a commissioned piece that is over 7’ wide.

Servicing the dining area and all other services, the galley has been updated with new overhead, new cabinet panels and repairs that have added to the function and aesthetics of this full service galley.    Going down to the crew area, a new settee in their commissary as well as new overheads, carpets, wall coverings and beddings have freshened this crew space completely.

To add to guest’s dining experience, new silver banded Wedgewood china, crystal and flatware have been brought on board.  A multitude of unique and elegant placemats, napkins, napkin rings and other table linens were selected to coordinate with all dining areas on the boat not only in the formal dining room and main saloon dining area, but all exterior dining experiences as well.

En suite guest cabins have been refurbished with new overheads, reupholstered linen wall panels, window treatments, TV surrounds featuring baseball stitched ultra leather, commissioned art work and contemporary lighting.  All beds are outfitted in the most luxurious down duvets, pillows and embroidered 700 thread count sheets.  During the day, beds are dressed in spa style decorative bedding with banding individually colored to coordinate differently in each cabin.  Heads were updated with new overheads, mirrors, wall panels and in some cases, new marble vanities.  To complete the comfort of the guest, new bath accessories, fluffy robes and bath linens were added.

The master cabin is a respite featuring large his and her en suite heads on each side of a central, oversized shower.  A bench seated shower includes full body sprays for an ultimate, spa-like experience. The highly polished stone is a rare Lapis Lazuli marble that is enhanced by a new white Thasos marble floor.  The master stateroom features both port and starboard desk areas that can be used either as a vanity dressing area or a perfect place to keep individual lap tops.  Two comfortable chairs sit in front of these desks.  Finishing off new carpets, window treatments, wall upholstery, bed linens, bath linens, accessories and custom art work is the custom made, formal bedding using European fabrics to complete the design.

On the 01 deck, the pilot house has the comfort of a newly upholstered settee, covered in buttery black leather and two helm chairs in leather ostrich skin embossed leather.  New overheads and doors complete the space.

Last, but not least is the sky lounge.  This space is the ultimate entertainment area spilling out to an exterior deck that features a new sun shade under which sits a large teak table and new dining chairs for 10, adding yet another dining experience to the boat.  The sky lounge also features a full service bar and new, pull-up bar stools.  In front of large seating areas that run all along the port side and are newly upholstered in a luxurious fabric, sits three leather ottomans that can be used  to hold trays of drinks and nibbles or simply as foot stools to comfortably watch the bar front TV.  A corner glass topped card table and 4 arm chairs add to the conversation area or allows guests to play a game of cards or enjoy intimate dining for 4.
