‘KNOT HAPPY’ is seriously nice example of the highly versatile 845 from the Windy Oceancraft range of open boats. Her centralized console sits forward of a space-optimized aft cockpit with plenty of stowage below, and safe teaked side decks lead forward around the wind-screen. The foredeck is flat, with full teak inlaid, and is equipped with anchor windlass, a small forward locker and opening deck hatch to the cabin. The engine bay aft sits cleverly under a gas-ram operated hatch for excellent access, with the central coolbox making the base for the passenger bench seat.

This example is running on the smooth, reliable 6-cylinder KAD-300 EDC diesel, with Volvo outdrive.

Below decks ‘KNOT HAPPY’ has a double forward berth/dinette, fully-fitted galley and storage to port, with a good-sized heads compartment to starboard.

Highly recommended – this is quite a rare bird and all makes sense when you view her. Of course, she also has the class-leading WINTEC soft-riding true deep-V hull for sparkling conditions even when it cuts up rough. 

Windy are a product of traditional craftsmanship, enhanced with the aid of modern technology.  The latest technological innovation is the Wintec hull concept, which gives improved performance, greater strength and reduced noise throughout the vessel.

The hull is reinforced with advanced multi axial glass fibre matting and Divinycell core.  This allows a reduction in the boats weight of up to 20% whilst offering noticeably improved stability.

All the Windy models are CE-labelled.  This means that Windy meets all the requirements laid down for quality control documentation and product liability within the EU.
