ALERION

ALERION - speed and freedom

ALERION is a small shipyard in Rhode Island, founded in 1912 and majoring in the small sailboats. The history of ALERION (in the translation it means "heraldic eagle") began with the construction of a small sailing boat (with the length of 26 feet). Its founder, Nathaniel Herreshoff, achieved the performance and controllability excellent for that time. The results of his work are used up to now: the first ALERION boat has a host of imitations, and Nathaniel has a lot imitators.

The ALERION shipyard builds the lightweight sailing vessels. The model range consists of the sport and small cruising yachts. A special place is taken by Express series. The length of these boats is from 20 to 38 feet. The deck of one of these boats can comfortly accommodate from two to four or five people. The Express yachts combine comfort, easy operation, and good driving performance. People can participate in regattas and make short cruises using them.

Sport series includes two models: Sport 30 and Sport 33. They are ideal for racing. Among the ALERION cruisers there is only one available yacht - Cruising 41. It is slightly larger than the "oldest" yacht in the Express series, but has everything you need for long journeys.

ALERION creates compact, fast, maneuverable sailing ships, that do not come expensive in repairs and maintenance, but give the pleasure of speed and freedom.
