DEFENDER

DEFENDER is an American shipyard that is liquidated now and that produced the motor yachts for fishing and racing. The full company name is DEFENDER YACHT CORP. The shipyard was located in Miami (FL).

The company was opened in 1990 and existed for 16 years. In 2006 it was liquidated. For a long time the shipyard built the fiberglass boats for sport fishing. They were equipped with diesel engines and allowed to go to the open sea. The boat length was 30-40 feet. Later, the DEFENDER company started the construction of the high-speed motor yachts.

Today the yachts of DEFENDER can be seen only on the websites of brokers. The used boats, despite the relatively old age, look good and can serve to their new owners for many years. Such vessels are often renovated before putting up for sale.

Despite the fact that the company was closed, DEFENDER remains popular, and the yachts are rarely sold by their owners. This is due to high reliability, ease of use and low cost of ownership. The fiberglass yachts made at this shipyard can be seen in many countries. They are suitable for the sea, and for freshwater ponds.
