The Mag Bay Yachts brand, like many others, was established in the 70s. The boom relating to fiberglass reached its limit, and every day hundreds of companies produced the cheap, comfortable yachts affordable for the ordinary consumers. The career of Mike Howarth, who became one of the founders of the brand, began in 1969 - with the development of equipment made of fiberglass and cork. After working for some time at the shipyards, he met Henry Mohrschladt. They established their own company that built the sailboats for a long time. In 1989, the business was closed, and a couple of years later the partners established the first representative of Mag Bay Yachts. They founded new shipyard in California (Adelanto). The company was named Cabo Yachts. Starting with a team of three people, they have increased the number of employees to 540 people.
