PRECISION

The PRECISION shipyard was founded by brothers Richard and Bill Porter about 40 years ago. The company began to produce the sailboats and developed a new design of the ships. The yachts under this brand are easy to use, convenient and reliable. The designer of the ships was Jim Taylor. It was he who designed almost all known models of sailing ships of PRECISION. Jim Telor is a well-known designer, because he created designs for many racing boats.

The vessels are being built at the shipyard using the wood laminated with fiberglass. Sometimes the hull is reinforced to provide an additional rigidity. Much of the works are still done by hand. The yachts have the original keel design, created by Jim Taylor. The vessels do not have any of those disadvantages that are inherent for the boats of their class. Therefore, navigation on such yachts is a pleasure. They are excellent, even against the wind.

The company is still working exclusively on small sailing boats. Such vessel format was chosen many years ago, when the shipyard just started to work. The experienced sailors are well aware of the differences between the vessels under this brand and their advantages. This can be seen at a glance.
