Westport

The famous world explorer ship manufacturer, Westport Yachts Company, was founded in 1964 and originally specialized in fishing vessels for the North Pacific fishing fleet. The company also used to make fast passenger ferryboats, motor yachts and other vessels. Gradually the manufacturing of passenger motor yachts became a main line of business for the company. Westport became the first company to use composite materials in yachts and trading vessel production.

Westport today is the largest yacht manufacturer in North America and belongs to one of the largest yacht building companies in the world.

Having a large number of staff - ship engineers, constructors and architects, allows Westport to make yachts of different sizes, as well as the planning, design and the construction work itself.

The construction takes place at two wharfs; the employees of every one of them specialize in different areas of manufacturing process. This approach helps to raise the production quality, and thus the yachts’ overall reliability.
