The “Sand Tiger”, a 2006 Albin 28 TE Flush-deck, Yanmar 315hp Diesel, Bow Thruster, white hull, triple axle trailer and stored under cover.
This 28’ Albin has been a classic since it was introduced in 1992 with over 1000 produced. They have evolved over the years and has always remained a cult fishing favorite amongst serious fishing hobbyists and fishermen alike.
The 28 is heavily built on a modified-V hull with a wide beam, hard aft chines, and a prop-protecting skeg keel. Below deck, a roomy interior has the comforts of a larger boat sporting a full-service galley with fridge and microwave to port, standup head/shower to starboard, mid-cabin berth aft port side, and a convertible U-shaped dinette forward. Six opening ports provide good cabin ventilation. Additional features include a molded bow pulpit, trim tabs, full-height bow rail, raw water washdown and bow thruster. Cruise at 16–18 knots with single 315hp Yanmar engine, running on diesel.
This particular Albin 28, a one owner owned, has been cared for by current owner since he purchased new in 2006.
She is in excellent condition and probably the most VALUE-FOR-MONEY Albin 28 on the market having the additional custom-built Tuna Tower fabricated by Sterling Upholstery & Fabrication in New Iberia, Louisiana and a triple axel trailer that fits the boat perfectly for that ride down the highways.
