Ralph Schacter, an avid Connecticut sailor, commissioned Carl Schumacher to update the original Alerion 26 to a more modern rig and underbody. Moonrise was the result, and it was built by Lost River Marine in Stuart, Florida in 1989. The current owner has restored and maintained this treasure with an "open checkbook" policy keeping Moonrise in perfect condition. Full restoration records and service records are available upon request. Indoor stored on a custom trailer each winter. Moonrise is absolute must see!
