Owner wants to see Wasabi be the next Back Cove 30 Sold!

Wasabi is a fine example of the timeless Back Cove 30.  Finished in the unique shade of Wasabi Green from the factory, she stands out prominently from the sea of blue and white vessels.  Originally constructed with the Yanmar 315 hp. diesel, her owner wanted a faster cruising speed and top end, so she had a new engine installed less than two years ago at a cost of more than $50,000, and now is equipped with a new 370 hp. Yanmar diesel, brand new transmission, shaft, dripless shaft seal, prop, many other new bits associated with the engine swap, and she has less than 100 hours on her new engine.  Overall she presents very well and must be seen to be appreciated.  Please be sure to click on the Full Specs tab for all of the details on this fine Back Cove 30!

Vessel Overview and Walkthrough

Timeless elegance best describes this classic Back Cove 30.  Her beautiful lines follow her stout functionality as a vessel which has been well-engineered to keep her captain and crew safe in all types of weather, yet with a design which is also appealing to the eye.

Starting forward on her bow, there is an anchor roller on a platform which holds the polished stainless steel plow anchor, rigged with the Quick windlass to feed automatically into the chain locker.  Her deck is traditional and follows good form for easy footing while walking about.  Heavy stainless steel bow rail lead you aft down the side decks and into the cockpit.  L-shaped seating is found on either side of the centerline transom door.  A removable table can be used either in the cockpit or in the helm deck area, depending on what is desired.  Storage below the seats as well as in the cockpit sole ensure plenty of space to stow all of your gear.  Stepping up a short step brings you inside the helm deck area which has a straight settee to port (which can convert to a double berth) and an L-shaped settee with table to starboard. Moving further toward the helm brings you to the two-person mate's seat to port which is opposite the Stidd helm chair to starboard.  Exceptional sight lines abound from all seating, so no one will miss the view!

Stepping down a few steps into the cabin, you have a fully enclosed wet head to port which is equipped with a freshwater flush MSD, vanity, and shower.  Opposite the head is the galley which has a stainless steel sink, single burner stove, microwave, 12V/110V refridge, recessed trash storage, as well as storage for all of your galley necessities.  Forward of the galley is the V-shaped dining/entertaining space which can be converted into a double berth.  Forward backrest can become a small berth or shelf for additional storage as required.  There is a hanging locker to port with drawers below, as well as storage under & behind the cushions.  Her teak & holly sole give her the true downeast interior experience as you are able to enjoy some craftsmanship from the fine folks in Maine!
