Overview

Repowered, Repainted and totally Refit. In 2008-09, This 35 Bertram was taken completely down to the bare fiberglass. A pair of brand new Cummins QSB5.9 liter Diesel engines, new running gear, struts, new transmission & dripless shaft seals at the same time. Plus a new Northern Lights 5 kW diesel (in a sound shield) also in '09. The hull topsides was repainted in '10 and deck/ top sides were Awlgrip painted in '14, All new helm enclosure in '14, the lower windshield was removed, fiberglassed and insulated.  She features a Truly Custom interior with galley down (all new appliances/counters, etc. LED Running lights, LED under water lights, on and on. This is not your fathers 35 Bertram!! Come take a look.

Accomodations

There is a full V-berth in the Bow with a filler cushion and storage drawers beneath. There iare reading lights, overhead hatch with screen for fresh air  The head is equipped with an electric flushing toilet, vanity with medicine cabinet, storage below the vanity, and a working port light for when fresh air is desired.

The stand up shower is here as well and has a bi-fold shower door. There is a light and a seat in the shower stall.

Salon & Galley

Step in through the New custom fit, lockable sliding door into the roomy and clean Salon, that is unlike the salon on any other 35 Bertram. A custom welded aluminum floor grid has replaced the original 2x6 frames. The floor is 'hand hewn' teak and birch sole with all engine access panels in tact. There are insulating panels for sound and heat, mounted to the underside of the floor panels. The salon AC unit was new in '14, there is a dedicated 20 amp electrical circuit, specifically for strip heaters, and there are Engine Block Heaters.

Built of 'hand hewn Birch' an L-shaped sofa sits along the back corner, with a sofa along the port side of the salon, plus a coffee table. The leather upholstery is Very Plush. This seating is arranged for perfect viewing of the Sony 36 inch HDTV that is mounted to the wall.

The galley is down, but open to the salon, offering wonderful natural lighting and fresh air.  Appliances we're all replaced in 2010, under counter refrigerator/freezer, microwave oven, countertops and drawers. 

Flying Bridge and Electronics

The flying bridge is a truly custom layout, with a Fiberglas hardtop and 4 sided canvas enclosure, new in 2014, surrounds the bridge. There are two LeBrock shock mitigating helm chairs for the Capt and Mate, these are extremely expensive chairs.

There is a Cummins Smart Craft gauge for monitoring all engine functions. shift and throttle are by Solo single lever controls (rack & pinion for immediate response and no shift drag).  There is an additional cockpit station, also with Solo single lever controls. Electronics are all modern and up to date, and new since 2014

Engines & Mechanical

She was repowered in 2008 with a set of Cummins QSB5.9  380 hp electronic common rail Diesel engines, new ZF transmissions, new dripless shaft seals,  and All New running gear at the same time (custom struts, exhaust, rudders, new Hynautic steering Ramsmans nylon bushings, block heaters keep the engine room a toasty 105 degrees all Winter long. 

There are 996 hrs on these engines. Racor MA1000 primary fuel filters have been added and are conveniently located inside of a cockpit cabinet. There are 12 volt fuel priming pumps, and hoses for quick oil changes. 

A new (2009) Northern Lights diesel generator is located in a sound shield, under the cockpit floor.

 

Cockpit & Fishing Equipment

The deep/safe cockpit with wide gunwhales gives the safe and secure feeling that you would expect from a Bertram. 

Raw water washdown outlet, plus a dockside fresh water connection are located here. The cockpit spreader lights are capable of lighting up the night for an evening of fun.
