A good selling boat for Bertram, the 43 Convertible is still highly regarded with experienced anglers for her rugged construction, rakish good looks and superb open water performance.  She was built on a Deep Vee hull  with cored hull sides and a solid fiberglass bottom, and with  nearly 15 feet of Beam. The 43 is a spacious boat inside with Galley up and 2 staterooms down. The cockpit is reinforced for a fighting chair and also features a transom door, cockpit engine room access.

Additional feature of note include side dumping exhausts, good service access to engines, molded tackle centers in cockpit and a large wrap around flybridge helm console with plenty of seating. Her Twin 6V92/ 535 HP Engines cruise her at 23-24 knots with a top end in the high 20's .

Directly aft is the master head with ensuite access and stall shower starboard side, plus large storage locker. Aft down the companionway one will find the guest stateroom with upper and lower berths. A few steps up, one will find a galley with Corian countertop, under counter Sub-Zero refrigeration lots of storage, plank maple sole and open access to salon. Salon features a large queen convertible sofa , hi-lo table and couch to starboard, plus indirect lighting, custom maple wood blinds, new carpet and updated entertainment center. There is a hinged door aft to the cockpit and the more desirable engine room access from the cockpit.
