Highlights

Fair Skies is a classic, original looking Burger with many modern system upgrades. The lines and spaces were second to none in her day. Over the years Fair Skies has received the attention and upgrades needed to keep her in top condition. The following upgrades were completed:

In 2017 the galley appliances were replaced, new flooring in the galley, dinette and foyer, new upholstery in the dinette and a major hydraulic refit on the crane.

Salon

Classic and ultra comfortable best describe the salon of FAIR SKIES. Aft to port is the comfortable lounge area for ten or more. Banquette seating for eight people. Glass topped cocktail table. Subtle lighting and two reading lamps, natural varnished ash cabinetry. Window shades and drapes. Further forward is very large builtin desk with many storage drawers and space for a computer. To starboard is superb varnished cabinetry full length with drawers and storage for dinnerware, china, silver, linens, slide out bottle storage, hidden refrigerator and icemaker, wet bar, etc. For formal dining, forward to starboard in this salon, a McGuire glass topped dining table has eight very comfortable chairs. Surrounded by large windows, the view is panoramic yet can be totally private with drapery when desired.

The forward bulkhead in the Salon, enclosed by disappearing doors, is the new 42" flat screen ultra hi def TV, VCR, AM/FM stereo amplifier, cassette and CD players entertainment system with drawers for storage of 100 VCR tapes, 32 CD's, DVDs, cassettes etc. Below, connections for DVD or spare VCR recorder, switching gear for all entertainment systems and remote speaker controls for stereo system. Flanking all this are two glass fronted, lighted display cases for objects d’art. To port the passage has a foulweather gear closet/storage locker, door to side deck and stairs to pilothouse. Day Head is next forward along the starboard passageway, just before the pilothouse and has natural, varnished, paneling, Head Hunter head, Corian countertop, mirrored wall, subtle lighting and new Amtico flooring.

Galley

On the main deck, forward of the pilothouse the country kitchen and dining lounge are inviting for both chef and guests, the center island galley is spacious and wide open to the huge informal dining lounge. Large windows on both sides give panoramic views of the surroundings. Equipped with every expected modern convenience and storage galore, this galley is ideal for family use or it can be reserved for crew, although crew has their own lounge adjacent to their cabin.

Master Stateroom

Full width aft via a private stairway from the main deck salon. A full king size bed, centerline on the forward bulkhead can be made up as two separated beds. Flanking the berth are nightstands with three drawers each, phone, library, adjustable reading lamps and doors to his and hers baths. Hers to port has a large whirlpool Jacuzzi tub/shower with sliding glass door, generous vanity and Corian counter space, new plumbing fixtures, vanity and chair, generous storage for towels, etc., hamper, many drawers, freshwater head, large mirrors, ample lighting and opening port light with shade. His, to starboard, has stall shower, storage closet, hamper, similar lighting, storage, fixtures, etc.

Centered on the aft bulkhead of the stateroom are the new HD flat screen TV with remote, VCR, and FM/AM stereo with numerous storage drawers beneath, all flanked by his and hers cedar walk-in closets, (one of which has been converted to a sauna) linen closet many more drawers, storage cabinets and love seat. Décor of this large, private stateroom is muted with framed prints by Miro. A safe is situated in his walk-in closet.

Guest Staterooms

Located forward of the engine room, the guest staterooms are essentially identical, differing only in the highlight of spreads and shams, with varnished light wood cabinetry. Each has twin berths with drawers beneath, shared nightstand with drawers, reading lamps, fitted spreads and decorative shams, library, closet, air conditioning, stereo and private baths with enclosed showers and fresh water heads serviced by Head Hunter system. These cabins are accessed via the stairway down forward of the galley. There are new HD flat screen TVs.

Crew Area

Fully forward the crew quarters are accessed via a stairway from the galley. Crew have a twin bed cabin with closet, linen storage, ensuite bath with stall shower. The crew cabin has overhead screened hatch, new carpet, mirrored door, bilge alarm system enunciator, air conditioning, library, cabinetry with shelving, drawers, under-berth storage, closet.

The crew lounge has new HD TV, AM/FM stereo, two opening ports, closet, dinette with refrigerator, sink, counter, microwave oven, etc. New carpeting in crew cabin. Forepeak: Forward of crew quarters, thru a watertight door is an anchor chain and rode stored in 30" diameter tub below windlass, all isolated from hull.

Corridor Hatch: Huge, dry, storage below the guest passageway.

Pilothouse

Accessed via steps up from the passageways starboard and port. Doors to side decks are off each passageway. A commanding view from the pilothouse is offered to each of three helm seats plus the 6' long raised bench lounge with its generous table. The full array of engine instruments and controls, navigation, communication and systems controls all are ergonomically located to be most comfortable and practical for the helmsman while maintaining visibility of the navigated area.

Fly Bridge

Accessed via a stairway up from the pilothouse, the flybridge is features a Pipewelders hard top with overhead quartz lighting and speakers. There are (3) comfortable helm chairs facing the sun shaded console of electronics, which are essentially redundant of the pilothouse. Importantly, the helmsman can stand at the wing controls and view the rub rail of his vessel as he carries out his docking maneuvers. Aft of the helm is the mast secured to the hard top. The base structure contains the refrigerator, stereo, wet bar, icemaker, storage and sink.

The mast houses the two radar antennae, all other antennae, quartz lighting, ship's bell, etc. Surrounding the mast base is seating for 12 or more. Six outdoor stereo speakers with stereo sound set the mood. Aft on the boat deck is 2004 15' Novurania Wide Body RIB w/ Yamaha 60HP 4stroke O/B, equipped with cover, bucket seats, bench seat, console steering and swim ladder. It is serviced by a 2500 lb capacity, remote control, Nautical Structures center mounted electric davit with extension boom and electric rotation. The tender may be launched over either side.

New (2015) Switlik 6 person canister life rafts w/hydrostatic releases. Ensign and staff mount aft on the boat deck. All items on this deck are protected by covers.
