Accommodations
Sleeps six. Forward cabin features a V berth with filler cushions, shelves outboard, port and starboard, opening hatch overhead. Access to main cabin through teak dutch door.
Enclosed athwartships head next aft features newer Raritan marine toilet, stainless steel sink, handheld shower, mirror, teak floor grate, shower drain, storage, hanging locker, and two opening ports. Teak doors allow privacy and access from V-berth and main cabin.
Main cabin next aft features settees port and starboard. Port settee has a slide-out extension to convert to a double berth. Shelf storage port and starboard, storage lockers under both berths. A teak, fold-down, bulkhead-mounted, dining table. Shelves on bulkhead for wine and book storage. Multiple brass light fixtures, with the center cabin light switchable red/white for night sailing.
Aft to starboard is a private single cabin with hanging locker, storage and louvered teak door. Galley is opposite to starboard.
New cabin cushions, throw pillows (1996 and 2003). Cabin shades (8) installed 2001.
Galley
The galley features a two-burner Origo alcohol stove, icebox, and stainless steel sink with hot and cold pressurized water. Sliding doors provide access to storage outboard. A fold-down counter provides additional prep area.
Electrical
12 volt DC and 110 volt AC dockside systems. 12 volt DC system includes two 75 ah 12 volt marine batteries, new in 2017 and 2020, battery selector switch, and circuit breaker distribution panel. 110 volt AC system includes circuit breaker distribution panel and shore power cord. Reverse polarity protection. Mast and rigging are grounded to a copper plate on bottom of hull to help prevent lightning damage. The original breaker panel has been supplemented with an additional six-breaker panel with spare capacity. AC shore power outlets in the main cabin and head.
Electronics and Navigation
Garmin 547 Chartplotter/GPS and Furuno 1621 Radar on swing-arm brackets at companionway (radar not operational at this time). Standard Horizon knot/log and depth sounder mounted on pedestal guard (knot/log not operational at this time, use GPS). Autohelm 4000 autopilot plugs in adjacent to helm (not operational at this time), stores inside companionway. Two VHF radio transceivers: Standard Horizon Quest VHF mounted in cockpit adjacent to helm, Standard Horizon Galaxy VHF in cabin. Antenna switch in main cabin enables the connection of antenna to either VHF. Ritchie SP-5 pedestal-mounted compass.
Engine and Mechanical
Yanmar 2GM20, 16 hp, fresh water cooled, 1690 hours, regularly and professionally maintained. New exhaust elbow 2017. Impellers, belts filters regularly replaced. 3-blade fixed prop (15 x 12) in place of standard 2-blade. Spare belts for alternator and starter, spare impeller. Extra coolant. Drain hole (and a plug) in the bilge for prevention of water accumulation in bilge during winter storage. Saltwater washdown pump (valve and hose in foredeck anchor locker). Accumulator tank for fresh water system. Raritan PH marine toilet replaced original Groco HF marine toilet. 10 gallon holding tank can be pumped either directly overboard or through deck fitting. Bilge pump with float switch and backflow valve operates via breaker panel and also with main power off.
Hull and Deck
Fin keel and skeg-hung rudder. Off-white topsides and deck, blue bottom. Non-skid decks. Double lifelines with gates, port and starboard. Braces added to boarding gate stanchions. Edson pedestal wheel steering. Teak-capped cockpit coamings (wide enough to sit on). Teak stern-mounted outboard motor bracket. Stainless steel stern boarding ladder with teak steps. Cockpit cooler locker with drain. Edson teak, fold-down, pedestal-mounted cockpit table and drink holder (1998). Nine Lewmar opening ports and four Lewmar overhead opening hatches. New forward Lewmar hatch (2004). Replaced lenses in all Lewmar opening ports with new clear Lexan (2006). Nicro solar vents installed in V-berth hatch and on cabin deck.
Sails and Rigging
Deck stepped mast; VHF coax and electrical wires exit through mast step/plate (not through cabin top).
Doyle sail inventory includes: mainsail (2005) with single-line jiffy reefing which enables reefing from cockpit, Doyle 135 Genoa (2005) with UV sunshield, Haarstick cruising spinnaker (1990), used three times. Harken roller-furling system for genoa. All lines led aft. Boom vang. Two headsail halyards. New main halyard and mainsheet (2003). Lewmar traveler with lines led aft for adjustment from cockpit. New topping lift (2015). All three halyards led aft to sheet stoppers. Masthead Windex. Whisker pole (1990) mounted on mast. New genoa sheets (2020).
Barient winch inventory includes: two Barient #17 self-tailing genoa sheet winches, one Barient #10P mainsheet winch mounted on starboard coachroof with separate line-stopper and clutch, one Barient #10 halyard winch mounted on port coachroof for all three halyards with line stoppers for all three halyards. Two winch handles are stored in a vinyl holster on the pedestal.
