Overview

The Gulf 32 built by Capital Yachts has a pilot house deck which creates a light and airy cabin interior. This vessel is an aft cockpit, diesel auxiliary powered cruising sailboat with raised seating area inside. She has a teak/ply interior, leaded glass windows in the storage cabinets in the lower salon and black galaxy granite counter tops have been installed. The vessel is a full keel, solid FRP (fiber reinforced plastic) well-built boat. The interior has been partially customized by removing the inside station, moving the galley down to port with a double berth down to starboard and adding two swivel chairs. With remote control autopilot the vessel can be still be operated from the pilot house below decks and out of the weather. The vessel is powered by a Universal diesel inboard with newer wiring and electric panels, reverse cycle air conditioning and hot water heater. This vessel could use some TLC from lack of use. The seller has moved on to power boating and just doesn’t have the time to use her and it shows.

Additional Information

Below deck the pilot house has windows all around providing 360 degree visibility when steering with the wireless remote control auto pilot from inside the pilot house. The roomy cockpit has three seat lockers and full length teak coaming tops. The cockpit pedestal steering unit has engine controls, electronics pod and a binnacle compass. The roof of the pilot house extends out over the forward windows to shield off sun and spray. Three large hatches open for ventilation. Two solid teak handrails are fastened to the top of the pilot house.

The Gulf 32 feels spacious for her size with her clever arrangement and accommodations. From the spacious V-berth forward that accommodates 2 adults moving aft to port is a large hanging locker, to starboard is the head. Continuing aft is the galley to port with a stainless steel sink, granite counter tops and a two burner stove. To starboard is a double berth with leaded glass windows storage cabinets. Moving up and aft are two swivel chairs with a 360˚ view through the pilot house windows.
