Overview
2005 Hull/2008 Construction. This traditional Chesapeake Bay style deadrise was constructed on a Wicomico hull and finished off by Motovidlak, a respected local eastern shore boat builder. Powered by a 450 Cummins with a ZF gear. Great lines and excellent finish work make this one of the nicest boats in her class. A "one owner" boat, "Flashover" has been well cared for over the years. If you are looking for a boat for fishing, crabbing, cruising the Bay or just that perfect boat with a traditional style to accompany your new Shore house, come see this one today!
Walkthrough
Flashover has a huge cockpit area that is found in most Chesapeake Bay style boats. There is plenty of room to walk around the center engine box and plenty of room fore and aft. As one would expect, there are many rod holders both for storage as well as gunwale mounted for trolling or chumming. On either side of the cabin entrance there are built in benches with ample storage underneath. Entering the cabin, the helm station is to starboard with storage space behind the helm chair. To port is a dinette with room for four. The helm station is outfitted with contemporary electronics and Cummins gauges. Moving forward from the main cabin a head is located to port and has ample room. A V berth makes out the forward space. Flashover shows very clean and well maintained.
Engine
Flashover is powered by a 450 Cummins with a ZF 1.75:1 transmission for reliability and power without breaking your wallet at the pump. 4511 hours of easy use and has been well maintained and cared for. Flashover is also equipped with a trolling valve for slowing down for those springtime rockfish.
Electronics
Flashover has Furuno Navnet Radar/GPS located in the centerline of the helm for ease of viewing and Furuno FCV-585 fishfinder to the right of the Navnet. A Uniden VHF radio to the left as well as a Jensen stereo.
Construction
Flashover was meticulously built with multiple bulkheads including a crash bulkhead forward. She is sturdy and well constructed, has self draining decks and wide washboards. She is outfitted with many gunnel mounted "Smith" brand rod holders and rod rack for additional storage. A 2/3 length top provides shade from the sun and weather and has ample headroom. Her sturdy engine box can double as a rigging station and seating area. Forward the is a commercial style drum type electric windlass, no pulling the anchor by hand on this boat. Flashover also has a second, cockpit mounted helm is to the starboard side with stainless wheel and controls
