Overview

This is a completely original boat from bow to stern! Single owner since it was purchased brand new from Hutchinson Boat Works in Alexandria Bay in 1938.

This boat was restored in 2010 by Mike Mahoney at Wooden Boat Specialties but required no wood replacement. It received 16 coats of varnish, new seats, new fuel tank, re-chromed hardware, and a replaced correct engine.

The bottom is in fantastic shape but is in need of bottom paint. The boat was last in the water in 2018.

History of the Vessel

One of only 529 Chris Craft Deluxe Runabouts built between 1937 and 1939 in Algonac, Michigan. This example was factory equipped with the larger K-series engine, producing 95hp.

She is a completely original boat from stem to stern; unbelievable for a craft of her age. Under single ownership since new, she was originally purchased by her current owner from Hutchinson Boatworks in Alexandria Bay, NY in 1938.

Restored in 2010 by Wooden Boat Specialities of Alexandria Bay, NY, the boat needed no wood replacement, but received a full refinish, 16 coats of varnish, new seats, fresh chrome, a new fuel tank and a replacement correct engine. Last in the water in 2018, this Deluxe Runabout is a true survivor!
