Overview

This custom pilothouse staysail ketch was completely refitted on a CSY pilothouse 44 hull. She is air conditioned and fully outfitted with extensive world cruising gear and spare parts except a tender (the seller is keeping that). Virtually every part or system on the vessel has been rebuilt, replaced, upgraded, or refitted. Do not compare her to a standard CSY. Her systems have been designed to make her fully self sustainable for long periods. Read on for details and then call to arrange a tour of this impressive vessel. Additional pictures are available. If you are looking to depart for world cruising very soon you should see her.

Accommodations

Beginning first forward is a V berth stateroom. The V berth can be two singles or a double with a bridge piece. There is a large storage area under the bunk with multiple access lids. There are lee cloths fitted  that stow under the mattresses. To stbd. aft is storage as well as an aluminum top work bench with a nickel plated vice for projects. The custom chain locker is to stbd. aft and can accommodate all 400' feet of chain.

Across to port is the forward head with a diverter type shower and FRP pan (deck). The soles throughout are Teak and Holly beautifully finished to a high gloss. All of the interior hardwood has been stripped and refinished with 20 coats of varnish.

The galley is next aft to port open up to the salon/pilothouse. The galley has the work area to port and the top loading custom built freezer/reefer boxes to stbd.. There are double stainless steel sinks with a custom stainless steel sliding dish drain rack which can drain over the sink or be slid out of the way when not in use. The galley has Formica counter tops and varnished Teak cabinet doors and trim. There is cribbage  board type seagoing dish storage, a microwave oven, and three burner gimbaled stainless steel propane range/oven. The electric panels are aft to stbd. in the galley.

Up and aft over the engine compartment is the salon/pilothouse. The control station is to stbd. forward. One can look down into the galley from the salon. The pilothouse front windows provide excellent lighting to the galley. There is an "L" settee to port and a straight settee to stbd.. The folding dinning table is bolted to the sole panel in the center. The table leafs fold and stow so that the sole panel over the engine can be hinged up against the "L" settee. Other sole panels are removable allowing full access to the engine compartment containing the engine, custom raw water inlet sea chest, bilge pumps, Purifiner, muffler, etc.. There is full access all around the engine. Under the port settee is a large storage area and the batteries. Under the stbd. settee is access to the refrigeration compressor. Both settees are fitted with lee cloths that stow under the cushions when not in use. Aft on the centerline in the salon is a Teak ladder from the forward companionway. The current owner uses the steps as a book shelf because he does not use the forward companionway. There is a flat screen TV mounted over the doors of the forward companionway above the ladder. The salon is custom insulated with foam. The custom pilothouse windows are double pane for insulation and added strength. They are fitted with a vent tubing system to remove condensation if it forms. The forward centerline pilothouse window opens, custom dorades in the cabin top, and there is a hatch over the control station along with the aft companionway so there is excellent natural ventilation in addition to the Aqua Air 16,500 BTU reverse cycle central heat and air conditioning throughout.

To port aft and down from the pilothouse salon one enters the master suite. The master head compartment is to stbd. forward of the built in double berth that is on the stbd. side aft of the head compartment. To port forward across from the head is a navigator's station with shelves above and a hinged top chart table with bench. Aft of the bench is a large open storage area. There is enough floor space for 3 adults to stand comfortably spaced in the open area between the berth and the storage area. The master berth is fitted with lee cloths like the others. There are ample hand holds throughout the entire interior to facilitate safe movement everywhere while in a seaway. Aft in the master suite is a ladder up thru the aft companionway to the steering cockpit. There is a full steering/control station in the aft cockpit covered by the welded stainless steel custom solar cell bracket.

There is vast storage throughout the interior and under the cockpit. The interior wood work and soft goods are in excellent condition.
