Interior

The interior of the Hightower 62 is like no other. She has soft corners and swooping curves throughout and boasts a walnut/olive burl wood ensemble. Walking forward from the cockpit there is a centerline air actuated teak/walnut entry door. To the port side of the main salon there is a fore and aft counter containing a 37' LCD TV with all the AV equipment conveniently accessible. Immediately on the port side, the light switches for the salon are at waist level. To the starboard side of the main salon is a curvaceous settee sofa with ample storage below. As you walk forward, a C-shaped galley counter is to starboard and a dining settee w/table is to port. The galley contains 2-Subzeros w/ two fridge drawers, two freezer drawers and an integral icemaker. It also contains a Kenyon 2-burner cook top and microwave. The settee comfortably sits 3 or sleeps 1. The electric panel is easily accessible forward of the settee along the forward interior bulkhead. The galley countertops are Corian and the cabinet countertops are high gloss olive burl with walnut banding. The galley and dining settee floor is a walnut and maple hardwood.
As you go down the companionway, there is a gorgeous chair rail w/ burl paneling to starboard. The steps are solid walnut and lift up for storage below. The guest head is directly to port for easy access while fishing, and the entry to the master stateroom is to starboard. As you look forward down the hallway, the washer/dryer linen closet is to port directly after the guest head and forward of that are the crew bunks. Large in size and far forward of the companionway, the crew bunks offer a great place for children to hang out away from but not too far from the main salon. Ample storage is below the bunks including loose rod stowage.
The master stateroom bunk faces fore and aft. There is counter space, cabinets and a small computer desk running fore and aft along the hallway bulkhead. A hanging locker is at the foot of the bed and there is storage underneath the bunk. Forward of the stateroom is the private master bath w/ an enormous shower. The flooring is mosaic tile, the head is Headhunter, vanity is Corian and the sink basin is stainless steel.
In the forward V of the boat is the guest stateroom. Symmetric in design, the bed is along centerline with hanging closets port and starboard.

Cockpit & Flybridge

With an air conditioned helm station and mezzanine, the exterior layout is designed for fishing in comfort.
The cockpit is the most crucial space on the boat. The mezzanine sofa, which is shaded by a large overhang, seats three and provides a great elevated spot for spotting fish and watching baits. The bridge is accessed by a custom ladder on the starboard side of the mezzanine, which has LED blue lighting inside the step treads. Teak work includes rolled covering boards and cockpit deck. There is varnished teak on the helm pod and toerail. The transom fish box is 58' long and contains the Eskimo icemaker outlet (600 lb/day). Starboard of the fish box is the 32' tuna door. The mezzanine storage consists of 2-drink boxes, 2-bait boxes, large underseat storage and tackle storage area. The companionway stairs are on manual gas-shock pistons to serve as the engine room access. The mezzanine ceiling has flush mount speakers, A/C vents and 7-color LED lighting. Under the covering boards on the port side is 50A shore power, pressure washer wash down and freshwater wash down, and on the starboard side is freshwater intake and saltwater wash down. This cockpit is a pleasure to fish.
Since the captain controls it all, he is well considered on the bridge. The bridge can seat eight and has two helm chairs. The console interior allows for easy access to electronics and provides a great work area. The console is to port with the helm on the starboard end. The helm is on the centerline of the boat. The helm station includes an overhead electronics panel in the hardtop, fixed main electronics panel, actuated pop up control panel and teak pod. Seating wraps around the starboard bridge wing and wide lounge seating is forward of the console. Large storage is forward of the seating behind the bridge dodger face.

Engine Room

The Engine Room is the center piece of the Hightower 62. Having a complete yacht quality finish top and bottom and 5'9" headroom, it is the perfect home for the CAT C32 Diesels. There is ample working space all around the engines. All the equipment is accessible with the wiring and plumbing conveniently hidden by a set of two valances around the perimeter. Interior of all lockers has a yacht quality finish.
As you come down the entry steps from the cockpit, the crushed icemaker is neatly nestled directly behind you, an air compressor is to port on a low level shelf and the oil transfer station is to starboard.
When you enter the engine room, the fuel filters are mounted directly on port and starboard. As you walk forward the sea chests are forward of the engines and the majority of the equipment is mounted on a shelf along the fwd engine room bulkhead. Remarks

This vessel was completely designed in CAD and has been weight monitored by load cells through the construction process. Builder has unlimited access to a CNC router which was used extensively for modular interior parts. Additionally, there is substantial insulation used in the cabin areas, overheads and forward deckhouse. With the underwater exhaust, this boat is remarkably quiet when underway. This special vessel can cruise at 40 knots. Boat is currently docked in Charleston, SC.
