Overview

The Flying J is a smooth riding, low-hour, 4 stateroom, 67’ Carolina Custom Sportfish that is now being offered in turnkey condition. The Flying J is a Plank-On-Frame hull built by James Gillikin on Harker’s Island, NC. The Flying J then made the short trip to Jarrett Bay Boatworks for mechanical, mezzanine and teak installation. The renowned boat builders at Jarrett Bay Boatworks set the engines, generators, shafts and faired/painted the boat from rub rail up. The Flying J is must-see Custom Carolina Sportfish!

Vessel Walkthrough

Entering from the port side of the mezzanine cockpit area, the main salon offers a large L-shaped custom leather sofa to starboard. Opposite the sofa is the entertainment area with a 46" pop-up flatscreen TV. Moving forward, the galley is equipped with cherry cabinetry and a spacious dinette with gorgeous teak & holly flooring. The galley boasts four undermount refrigeration and freezer drawers, a stainless-steel sink, a microwave/convection oven, a 2-burner cooktop and granite countertops. Leaving the galley and heading down the companionway stairwell, along the portside are 2 guest staterooms with over under bunks and a day head with a full shower, granite countertop and teak & holly flooring. The spacious master stateroom is to the starboard and is outfitted with a large queen size berth, a cedar-lined hanging closet, LED lighting, drawer space, a flatscreen TV, and a spacious full head & shower with teak & holly flooring. The forward VIP stateroom has a large queen size bed, a cedar-lined hanging closet, drawer space, a flatscreen TV, LED lighting and large full head and shower with teak and & flooring. Cockpit and Mezzanine

The cockpit and mezzanine of the Flying J is amazing. The flybridge over-hang provides ample shade for onlookers relaxing on the mezzanine while there still being enough room in the cock pit for six anglers plus crew to fish with room to spare. The mezzanine deck holds a large fish box / ice hold with ice dump as well as insulated drink box. The port side of the mezzanine holds the Tackle station with a mezzanine jump seat with storage. A large transom fish box could easily be converted to a 8 tuna tube set-up for the boat owners in the Gulf of Mexico or Cabo San Lucas. There is also a transom live well and transom door.
