Overview

Izzy R is a 2004 49' DeFever CPMY (Also known as a 44 + 5 model) and she is turn-key.  The DeFever 44 + 5 model combines the popular flybridge, sundeck, aft full-beam master stateroom  layout with a cockpit, so there are usually few of these models on the market at any particular time due to their popularity.  She offers twin fuel efficient Perkins main engines, Westerbeke 12.5 kW generator, 2800 watt inverter, Naiad stabilizers, underwater LED lights, huge engine room, satellite TV system, main deck level galley and lower and upper helms.  Her sellers have completed their multi-year Caribbean/Bahamas cruise and moved ashore, so Izzy R is now available for sale. Izzy R is a proven bluewater cruiser and she is a Great Loop veteran.

Walkthrough

Entering from the swimplatform through the starboard transom door into the cockpit, you step up onto the covered sundeck. You can then step up to the flybridge, walk out either side deck or enter the salon door and down several steps to the salon with the galley to port.  Walking forward, there is cabinetry starboard aft, a lounge chair and ottoman to starboard and the lower helm with side deck access door starboard forward. To port, forward of the galley, there is a port side deck access door forward and wrap-around seating with folding hi/lo table aft. The full beam master stateroom is aft and the guest stateroom is forward. The engine room access is through a door in the starboard aft side of the guest stateroom and salon sole hatches.

Accommodations

Izzy R offers a full beam master stateroom aft with a centerline queen size berth and ensuite head; and a guest stateroom forward with a v-berth and ensuite head.

Salon

The spacious salon on the DeFever 44 + 5 offers a side deck access door port forward, another side deck access door at the lower helm starboard forward and a sundeck access door aft. There is wrap-around seating (Storage underneath) with hi/lo folding table to port, chart drawer and counter port forward, an Ekornes stressless lounge chair and ottoman to starboard and storage cabinetry with an trash compactor starboard aft. The large side and forward windows offer loads of natural light. There are also snap-on screens on the two side doors, aft door and galley windows, blinds, curtains, book shelves, fan, reading lights and Teak parque sole.

The galley is port aft in the salon and offers a pass-through window to the sundeck.

The guest stateroom is located forward with a v-berth (With new foam mattress and cover) and insert, reading lights, 4 portlights with curtains, overhead hatch with a screen, Teak parquet sole, hanging locker, storage cabinets and drawers, shelves, anchor chain locker access and an ensuite head.

Fly Bridge

The huge flybridge on this 44 + 5 model includes a Pompanette helm seat, a Garelick Eez-In mate seat and side benchseats with storage underneath fore and aft, bimini and Eisinglass enclosure and full electronics at the helm which also has storage underneath. There is a non-skid deck and the arch is hinged.

Sundeck

Izzy R offers the popular massive DeFever sundeck. There are no teak decks and the non-skid is in good condition. The steps to the flybridge are forward next to the interior entry door. There are full walk around side decks and the steps to the cockpit are to starboard. There is a teak folding table and 4 teak deck chairs, 2 deck chairs, sun screens, Magma stainless steel BBQ grill, folding serving table at the galley pass-through window forward and an icemaker in the wetbar.

Cockpit

The 44 + 5 DeFever model offers a great cockpit with teak cap rails and non-skid decks. There is a transom door to the swimplatform, lazarette access, storage step, molded-in steps to the sundeck, fresh water hot/cold shower and large hatches for the master stateroom to enjoy natural ventilation and light.
