RECENT UPGRADES

Salperton has just completed a major 5 year class survey and refit, with overhaul of all major systems as outlined below:

A full rig pull and service of the rig, boom and mandrel

A full sail service including maintenance, repairs and service of all furlers

Replacement of all halyards and sheets

Replacement of all rig lighting and camera

Removal of anchors and chains and approval by Lloyds

Removal of anchor arms and replacement of all hydraulic hoses to mast and boom where necessary

Replacement of all seals to all hatches, including saloon opining roof, window and doors

Replacement of hydraulic rams to swim platform and seals

Replacement of all bulwark lighting

Re-engineering of stanchions/casting fittings and insulation to ensure no differential material corrosion

Shot blast and re-coat all deck and anchor lockers

Repaint of all bulwarks and superstructure

Repaint hull areas as necessary and Silicone polish complete hull

Anti foul hull and keel and surface treat propeller

Inspect and check rudder bearings and make small repairs to carbon rudder as necessary

Remove prop-shaft and replace all bearings

Re-build main engines including new head

Overhaul ( service ) both generators

Service air conditioning 

Service water makers

Replace with new or rebuild all bilge pumps

Replace main water circuit pumps

Upgrade ships computer management system and replace screens and CPU

Replace all LD lighting

Re-lacquer all internal woodwork

Re-enamel all internal metal work

Strip down and re-coat all internal woodwork flooring

Replace crew mess seating

Construct new double bed in Captain’s cabin and add a pull-down Pullman so it can be used for either a couple or two singles

Replace washing machines to galley

Replace induction hob

Rebuild galley ventilation extract system

Complete re-build including new engine, outdrive, propellers, controls and tubes for main tender

Re-varnish of external furnishings

Re-upholster all external seating

Replace all weather protection covers for tender external seating and controls
