Overview

For over three decades the 42 has been the most popular yacht in the Grand Banks legacy.  Once you have inspected one you will know why!  Intuition is an extended cruise vessel that offers all the luxuries you expect including forward and aft staterooms, large salon with a helm station, port refrigerator storage area, L-shaped dining with teak table and lots of storage, nice galley.  She is powered by T-320 HP Caterpillar 3208s.  Click Full Specs and check out all the information then call for an appointment to see her!

Accommodations

Full varnished teak interior with varnished teak parquet sole. Abundant natural light and ventilation with several large sliding windows in the Salon, centerline opening windshield and smaller sliders with screens in the fore and aft cabins. There are swivel brass reading lamps at all berths and settees as well as several overhead lights.

Guest Stateroom

Starting forward the Guest Stateroom features a large V-berth. Storage is in 4 drawers and 2 lockers. Above the berth the hull is lined with varnished teak ceilings. Aft of the port V is a hanging locker. Opposite to starboard is the guest head, which features a vanity top with sink, hot and cold pressure water, storage, Vacuflush head (2003), and ensuite shower. The steps leading to the salon are hinged, allowing access to the engine room. Aft and up three steps are the Main Salon, Galley, and Lower Helm Station.

Lower Helm

The lower helm station is starboard with starboard side entry door. The pilot stool fastens to the sole via a turnbuckle. The electrical panels are located at the lower helm. Aft of the helm is a bar with cabinet.

Galley

To port is the Galley with excellent storage and counter space, stainless sink with hot and cold pressure water, Princess electric stove with oven, and custom Grunert refrigerator. The galley also has the very desirable option of a custom vanity to port, aft of the galley and the port door, that contains a second custom teak Freezer with Grunert holdover plates, storage, countertop, optional drop-down dish storage and entertainment center.

Salon

The Salon space is very accommodating. To starboard is an L-shaped settee with storage in lockers below. Dining is on a varnished teak drop leaf table that will comfortably seat six. Forward of the settee is a dry bar with U-line ice maker. Opposite to port is a second side entry door just aft of the galley, and bureau aft, which houses the Grunert Freezer unit described above.

Master Stateroom

Aft and down 4 steps is the Master Stateroom. Two large hanging lockers are to port. To starboard is the master head that features a separate stall shower area, large vanity with sink, Vacuflush head (2003) and storage in drawers and lockers. The berths consist of an oversized double to starboard and a single to port. There are three deep storage drawers below each berth. A custom teak desk is between the berths and custom teak shelves are to both port and starboard. The teak ceilings compliment the interior. At the aft end of the stateroom is a bureau with several drawers and the aft companionway.
