In 2012/2013 a customized flybridge was added along with many other system upgrades.
Chaos is a heavily customized Eastbay 54 SX that has been through two major upgrades/rebuilds, these changes have significantly changed the boat to the point that this can no longer be considered an Eastbay 54 SX.
Her previous owners purchased Chaos in 2008, and under their supervision in a 2-year period of time they had Lyman-Morse make the following modifications:
Twin CAT C-18 ACERT fully electronic diesel engines (2010), with CE tags and certification (special order from the factory)
ZF 500 A gears with electric shift and trolling valves
Aquadrive CV joints with soft engine mounts and thrust bulkhead
Evolution 3” enclosed propeller shafts (shaft angle reduced to 11.5 degrees)

CAT color FFD display units for all engine functions, with repeaters in engine room
ZF Smart Command controls with Joystick Management System and Easidock function (able to hover indefinitely and maneuver at very low rpm’s)

Accessible by a teak treaded stainless steel ladder from the cockpit. The fly bridge is protected by stainless steel rails around the back and the front of the fly bridge is a custom built fiberglass console, with a wrap around acrylic shield. The area is highlighted by:
The interior is satin-varnished teak, with selected gloss trim with a teak and holly sole. The numerous hatches, dorade vents and portholes provide exceptional light and ventilation throughout the salon and the rest of the yacht. The main salon is completely surrounded by large windows for 360-degree views. All portholes are fitted with screens, and the hatches are fitted with the Ocean Air screens/blinds system. Interior lighting includes flush overhead LED lights with dimmers, stainless reading lights and hidden valance lighting. All of the upholstery was redone in September of 2012. The area to the starboard of the galley has been modified to offer pantry storage. This expands the storage and functionality of the galley while leaving the built in desk with drawer storage for a small office space. The features of this area are:
On the port side forward of the galley and pantry/office is the guest cabin. This cabin has (2) twin berths with drawer storage below the bunks, a hanging locker separating the two bunks, and locker storage above and outboard of the bunks. This area also features:
