A Word About the Value in "Pandora"
For those who may question why the asking price of "Pandora" seems to be above that of other 49 Gulfstar sisterships, I would like to give some information that serves to justify a higher price. In 1992, when the family that presently owns the boat purchased her, They took it to Lazzara Yachts and spent $50,000 enclosing and conditioning the flybridge. Additionally this vessel features recently refurbished Naiad stabilizers with a value of $65,000 new, a second generator which has been recently rebuilt, the awlgip paint job and the replacement of all deck and superstructure stainless hardware and additionally, the transom davit system. Another factor that makes "Pandora" worth more than your average 49 Gulfstar is that continuous ownership chain for 25 years with impeccable maintenance and updates. A vessel that has been maintained and cared for like "Pandora" will usually give a new owner a much more positive experience for the first few years since there really has not been anything that wasn't updated, replaced or overhauled on this vessel.
We invite your close inspection of "Pandora and her equipment and upgrades list and we hope you will agree that she is worth a lot more than an average, everyday 49 Gulfstar.
When the Lazzara brothers designed the 49 Gulfstar Motor Cruiser they were way ahead of their time with many design and layout features that were unique and had not been seen before in any other yachts. Consider the fully enclosed air-conditioned aft deck/living room, which really is like your living room with sofa, coffee table, lounge tables with ottomans and lamp tables, accessed by wing doors on either side and a double door aft that leads to the aft line handling deck and swim platform.
Forward of the aft deck, you have a sort of landing area where you can choose to go up one set of stairs to the enclosed air-conditioned bridge or down a set of stairs towards the galley and the staterooms. The flybridge, fully enclosed and air conditioned, is very comfortable and spacious and features a large center-lined helm chair. All of the electronics are arranged in a very ergonomic fashion with great visibility. Behind the helm is a L-shaped seating for the Captain's guests and above the L-shaped seating is an extra pilot berth. Down the stairs you come to the extremely spacious galley, very well equipped with lots of storage. Across from the galley to starboard, is a very spacious L-shaped dinette with seating for many guests. This entire area has large windows all around and gives you a very nice open and spacious feeling. Forward end of the galley has the washer and dryer and extra freezer. Forward of the galley is a VIP stateroom with center-line island berth with spacious head and shower stall. Aft of this area is a door that leads into the walk-in engine room, another innovation that puts this boat ahead of its time. Pretty much full standing head room for all but the tallest people. Aft are the rest of the accommodations including a very impressive Master stateroom that is large enough to be found on a 60-foot yacht. There is as well another ensuite guest stateroom to port and forward of the master w/twin berths and head and shower (stall).
If you are not familiar with this Gulfstar 49 yacht, the layout is extremely clever and must be seen to be appreciated.

If the CPU fails there is a back up laptop which you then plug your GPS into
