Overview

Pristine, well equipped, legendary Hatteras quality with factory Imron paint, perfect "trawler" alternative, but with Hatteras quality.  This model has the preferred flybridge arrangement (helm seat forward, aft raked windscreen, etc.), and the salon full door, instead of lift top folding door,  entrance that earlier models did not have.  Fresh water boat until 2004, "Journey On" is an exceptional boat.  The last of the "small" Hatteras models, this 40' Hatteras Motor Yacht will not disappoint.  Extended cruising at 8-9 knots, but able to beat out a storm or get there is a hurry doing a high cruise of 17 knots!  She's built on a Modified V-hull with a solid fiberglass bottom. 

She has the preferred two-stateroom floor plan arranged with galley down and sleeps six.  Beautiful Maple interior wood paneling, not too light, not dark.  Large salon featuring an L-shaped sofa, two newer matching casual chairs, custom folding drop leaf table, all decorated in tasteful fabrics and carpet.   The spacious aft master stateroom features a true centerline queen, tons of storage and an en suite head with separate stall shower and VacuFlush toilet. The galley is down to port.  Her second stateroom is forward with port side over/under berths, custom storage and a hanging locker. The forward head, across from the galley, features a larger stall shower and a VacuFlush toilet.

Owned and cruised by extremely knowledgeable owners, she is absolutely the cleanest, up to date and well equipped 40 Hatteras available.  Extensive logs, records and invoices available to serious buyers.  Totally turn key and will survey well.

BROKERS WALK THRU

This updated Hatteras, offers a lovely light maple interior and tasteful, custom decor, all in top condition. New carpet throughout the boat 2014.  Both heads feature VacuFlush toilet system, medicine and linen cabinets.  . The Master suite is aft with a centerline queen berth with ensuite head and separate stall shower,  large Cedar Lined Hanging closet, built in end tables and two large chest of 12 drawers.  
The guest stateroom is forward with Over/Under berths, custom drawer unit, seat, cedar lined hanging closet,and adjoining head with separate stall shower. This head is also accessible from the companionway. 

The galley is down, and the roomy salon, with six foot 4 inch headroom, offers built in custom cabinetry / pantry, VHF and Garmin Color Plotter, direct and in direct lighting, Flat screen TV, Satellite TV, custom removable drop leaf table, L Shaped Sofa with Hide a Bed, two matching casual chairs and table. On the starboard side, an Entertainment center with Bose surround system and plenty of natural light with large wraparound windows. 
Custom door, with separate screen door, from the salon leads to the aft deck with wet bar, grill and plenty of area to entertain. 

Steps lead up to the fully enclosed, large flybridge with pedestal helm seat, comfortable bench seating and lots of storage.
