Overview

Well above average 54' Hatteras CNV with full tower.  CAT C-30s offer strong cruise speed and hull design allows notable shallow draft.  Easy to show in Ft. Lauderdale.

Overview S/F REEL BUZZ

This stylish Hatteras convertible has the CAT C-30 engine package which is ideal power for this innovative hull design.  The solid fiberglass bottom features prop pockets which reduce the engine shaft angle dramatically to give the benefits of only 4'2" draft, while still providing the ability to make 32 knots cruising speed.  The stout construction characteristics of Hatteras plus a unique variable deadrise bottom shape enables a remarkably good ride when the seas become a factor offshore too.

REEL BUZZ has had two owners since new and was rigged with the concept of a custom boat to include Release Marine teak ladder-back chairs, a Bausch/American tuna tower and a tailored, polished bow rail, helm pod with single lever controls and a pop-up electronics pod.  Additionally equipped with an Eskimo crushed ice machine, Watermaker, InfraRed night vision camera, underwater lights, and Satellite TV dome plus upgraded stereo.  Some of her fishing features include cockpit controls, electric teaser reels, double size cockpit freezer, tackle center top cushions, Rupp triple-spreaders and center rigger.  There's even more detailed in the spec sheet.

A great three-stateroom, galley-up layout with American Cherry cabinetry finished in high gloss and in very nice condition throughout.  The split berth forward VIP stateroom and side-by-side twin guest stateroom gives the versatility to cruise with the family crew or accommodate a fishing venture.  REEL BUZZ deserves a closer inspection if your in the market for a quality mid-size convertible that performs like a much larger boat.

Accommodations and Walk-through

Sleep 6 in three staterooms with two heads.  The galley, dinette, and salon are all on one level and attractively finished with American Cherry, soft Leatherette seating, and Avonite countertops.  The salon is entered through a fiberglass & glass hinged door to the starboard side, up three steps from the cockpit.  To the portside salon aft is a large L-shaped couch with plenty of storage space beneath.  A circular cocktail table of cherry wood with compass rose on top has a sliding top to add to storage.  Across to the starboard side the cabinet immediately inside the door contains the electrical switching panel and below, entertainment components are stacked with storage shelf at the bottom.  Next forward is the flush mounted 37' Sony flat-panel TV screen which has it's own dedicated SAT receiver box.  Further forward on the portside is a C-shaped dinette lounge with rectangular Avonite tabletop with sturdy wood base.  Above and forward is framed ocean artwork and outboard are large tinted windows to the deckhouse sides.  The salon sole is covered by a plush textured carpeting fitted with fasteners for carpet runners.

Across toward the center is the galley with teak and holly Amtico sole.  A large countertop accommodates four Sub-Zero refrigerator/freezer drawers.  The forward side countertop has a 4-burner glass top stove panel and cabinetry housing microwave/convection oven with stove vent hood and there are several deep/spacious slide out drawers and cabinets.  To the outboard side of the counter is a molded sink with chrome wand faucet.

Down the carpeted companionway steps, the master stateroom is to the portside and features a walk-around queen berth with built-in nightstands to either side and a mirrored bulkhead below an overhead soffit containing reading light spots.  Outboard are some cabinet/shelves followed forward by a large cedar lined hanging locker.  Just to the right from the cabin entry door is a built-in dresser with three drawers and a cabinet.  Above is a built in 20" Sony flat panel TV, in the closet is a DVD player/stereo with additional music CD deck.  Forward is the head entry door with a matched Avonite vanity/backsplash, under-mounted sink, a mirror above, and teak and holly sole.  A stainless and glass shower enclosure has a shower wand fixture and a seat.  There is also a vacuum style, freshwater head.
Across the companionway is the  starboard guest stateroom with side-by-side twin berths and a built-in nightstand between.  The aft bulkhead is mirrored with the soft-paneled soffit above with reading spotlights.  Forward is a cedar-lined locker split with hanging to one side and shelves to the other.  In the bottom corner there is a central vacuum system.  On the forward wall there is a 13' Sony flat screen TV.

Back to the companionway and moving forward to the front of the boat is the forward guest stateroom and just past the entry door to the left side is a laundry closet with a stacked Kenmore full-sized washer and dryer unit.  Just adjoining is a linen cabinet.  Next forward on the starboard side is a large cedar-lined hanging locker.  The stateroom has a tapered queen berth on the lower portside of the stateroom and a single berth higher and outboard to the starboard side.  In between on the mirrored forward bulkhead is a 20' Sony flat panel TV with a DVD stereo player in the closet.  There are cove cabinets above the queen berth and drawers and cabinets beneath the starboard side berth.  Just aft down the hall to the starboard side is the entry door to the guest head that opens into the companionway easy for the forward guests to use or for daytime use or for the port guest stateroom further down the companionway.  This head is finished to the identical standard as the master head with a large shower stall.
