Brief History of Holland Boat Shop

It all began in 1972. Glenn Holland bought an unfinished Repco hull and finished it in a temporary building he erected on his parent's front lawn. In 1973 he decided that he should have his own hull and the Holland 30 was born. A few hulls were built and then there was a fire where the molds had been stored. Needing a new mold, Glenn partnered with Royal Lowell and they came up with the design for the now legendary, Holland 32. That boat went into production in 1978. In 1986 the first Holland 38 was built. Wanting something smaller to play with, in 1994 the Holland 14 was introduced to the family. Holland Boat Shop is the builder of the world famous lobster boat, the “Red Baron.” The semi-displacement hull is characterized by a sharp entry forward, flat at the stern with a full keel for propeller protection.

Vessel Walkthrough

Entering the salon, you will find a settee to starboard with a Stidd captain’s chair forward at the helm. The galley is located on the port side aft of a companion seat with chart storage in front.

There is ample storage on both sides. The spacious engine compartment is located underneath the teak and holly sole. Down three steps into the accommodation space is a single berth to port with storage underneath, aft and forward. The head is to starboard with a separate stall shower.

Forward is a hanging wardrobe to starboard with a centerline V-berth with drawers underneath and shelves above. The Bomar portholes and overhead hatches provide plenty of natural light.

The covered aft deck offers a non-skid deck, Lazarette storage compartments, port side freezer with cold plate, bulwark storage cabinets on each side, and a fold down transom door with steps.
