Overview

SOFIE is a magnificent example of the perfect cruising or live aboard sloop.  She has been professionally maintained, lightly enjoyed with low hours and is loaded with many factory and after-market upgrades.
  Her aft full beam master stateroom is spacious and well-appointed with a centerline island Queen berth, private head and shower.  The forward guest stateroom has an island full berth with access to head and shower and plenty of ventilation.

The starboard side galley has ample refrigeration and freezer space for extended cruising and has plenty of storage.  The salon incorporates a large U settee dining table to starboard and comfortable seating to port with a large flat panel TV and surround sound.

The vessel is air conditioned and comes complete with water maker and generator capable of powering all systems on the boat.

SOFIE's cockpit and seating area are well protected from the elements with a large Bimini top and dodger.  Her sails and rigging are all in perfect condition and are ready to cruise.

SOFIE is conveniently located in Southeast Florida with easy access to the Bahamas and the Florida Keys.  She is turnkey and ready to sail!

Accommodations

All Jeanneau Deck Salon models feature a standard center line queen aft cabin master berth with a large ensuite head/shower. No other models can provide this comfort and space with the added volume of the raised deck and cockpit table base above the berth. The guest berth forward is an Island Queen berth also with an ensuite head/shower. She sleeps 6 and has 2 heads. The salon is bright and spacious with the added feature of the raised sole and larger "cat-eye" windows. The L-shaped galley is a step down to starboard of the companionway and the nav station is to port. A convertible dinette is forward and across from a comfortable settee. The owner has customized and upgraded the cushion upholstery that are Scotch Guarded for added protection.

Galley

The galley is large and functional with considerable storage cubbies above the counter and drawers below.  The features include the double SS sink with hot/cold pressure water, a large refrigerator with small freezer and top and front access and an oversized separate freezer compartment.  The propane stove has 4 burners and large oven.   Also included is an installed microwave.

Engine & Mechanical

The engine is an upgraded optional reliable Yanmar 75hp with about 500 hours located under the companionway. The access is provided by the removable companionway, a water tight hatch in the aft shower, removable panels in the aft cabin and a fourth access in the galley. A dripless stuffing box is easily accessed under a sole panel between the aft berth engine panels. The engine has been professionally maintained with all records available. Included is a bow thruster with controls at the port helm and a watermaker located under the salon sole.

Electronics

The electronics are a Raymarine suite of systems with ST-60 Graphic display, Autopilot ,ST-60 Tridata and AWI all mounted in a single pod at the cockpit table. The Raymarine E80 chart-plotter is located at the cockpit table amid ship in a separate pod for viewing from either helm.  It is connected through a access cable to a laptop (not included) at the nav station with RayTalk software.  It can be viewed as well on the Salon TV. 

There is a Sirius weather receiver which can show weather on the chartplotter (and the TV) by contracting with Sirius radio. Full variety of music and entertainment is also available on the Sirius compatible stereo.

A Raymarine radar is included which overlay the graphic chart on the plotter.  The VHF is an ICOM ICM422 with a RAM mic at the helm.  The stereo is MP3 compatible.  And the TV has a Blue Ray player attached.

The nav station is combined with the electrical and electronic systems.

Electrical

The Jeanneau 45DS has an engineering space for the generator between the helms on the aft deck.  Installed is an Onan 5.5 Kw generator in its own sound shield.  The generator currently has about 475 hours.  The electrical power also comes from a single 50A shore power connection to a 60A battery charger.  The are two a/c units that can be run off shore power or the generator.

Sails and Rigging

The rig includes a standard in-mast Selden furling main sail and a 140% genoa on a Harken furler.  The control lines all run to the cockpit on Harken gear and stored in custom line bags on the cockpit bulkhead.  There a two Harken 53 two speed electric genoa winches and two Harken 44 winches on the coach roof to handle the mainsail.  The main furling is controlled by one of the Harken 44's which has electric 2-speed control.  The genoa fairlead cars are controllable with lines lead to the cockpit.

Cockpit

On of the best features of the DS models is the large cockpit with the dual helms and open transom. The folding cockpit table provides access on both sides for serving guests. There is a custom Bimini and dodger. There are custom canvas covers for all winches and the table. The Bimini is over-engineered and recently a complementary dodger was added.

Deck Equipment

The ground tackle is a Delta anchor with chain and rope rode on a Quick electric windlass with controls on the fore deck and remote at the helm.  A secondary 33# Bruce anchor on chain/rope is included and separated by a custom designed divider wall in the anchor locker.  A new, unused Fortress anchor is also included. 

The Apex 9 RL dinghy has a Tohatsu 6 hp 4-cycle engine, supported by Kato davits and includes a custom canvas cover.
